The front desk staff is very unfriendly when you tell them there is no beach and the room is dirty. I found hair in the bathroom on the first day of my arrival, and there was no reaction even from their manager. They are used to these complaints. The hotel's images are not realistic; the beach has been closed for a long time, and if you get close, there are mosquitoes that bite. For breakfast and the restaurants, you have to wait a long time to get in, and even the orders take over 2 hours to be served. There were no activities for children or adults. The Hyatt group should revoke this hotel's affiliation. I went to this hotel just because it is part of the Hyatt group, but I was very disappointed. When you complain, the front desk staff provokes you by saying they can't do anything for you. I even asked to leave the hotel and get a refund, but they refused. It's all scams, even for taking a taxi through the hotel; you pay double what you would if you called the taxi service directly..
Love the resort would been nicer if the nite entertainment didnt stop at 10 like other resorts i stayed at.and the bartender Aaron always the greatest surprised he can remember 20 to 30 ppls drinks and then make them congrats will be coming back with the wife and kids next yr
Loved our stay. We traveled with small children my daughter actually picked this resort because of the waterslides she saw on the website. The beach had a lot of seaweed, but we didnât care because all the pools were so much fun and they were not crowded at all. The staff were very polite. They greeted us everyday day with a big smile. The food and drinks were good, I loved my daily lattes at ROOTS and the pool activities. Now the negative side: I had a to call several times to get toilet paper in the room, waters and towels. Once you arrived from a long day of travel wanting to drop off your luggage in the room and get a sip of water they check you in like any other hotel BUT then they pull you aside to offer you things that you have to pay extra which I found very annoying. People want to start having fun and they want to close a deal. They have a night where they invite outside vendors and this hotel should really stop that. Iâm all for supporting small business, but these vendors sell everything 3x more than the USD! the airport souvenirs are more affordable than what the vendors where selling and everybody knows airport items are more expensive. One of the vendors was trying to sell me a small wooden plate for $85USD! They are scamming and harassing guests. My daughter wanted a bracelet and the vendor charge me twice! thieves is what they are.
This was our first experience on an all inclusive resort and we had a blast. There were plenty of dining options. We loved the cleanliness and service from the staff. The rooms were spacious. The kids activities and evening events were very entertaining. The con to this resort was the internal road to get into the resort. It had way too many potholes and very dusty.
Food selections and options were great, events good, sadly smell really bad outside the beach and pools were dirty, we meet some great servers like Eduardo and Jorge they do a great job. The road to get there was scary and terrible place is hiding. In room service will always take at lease 60-90min, mini bar you have to call if you need re stock.
The food was not as good as the Hyatt Zilara. We chose another Hyatt resort with kids with the idea that food would be just as good. The service and the staff are great. They even comped the Teppanyaki dinner. The steak at La Parrilla was super dry, i ordered medium rare, tasted like gas, probably becuade it was flash seared on gas grill straight from the fridge. Other restaurants were sub par. They were nothing special.
We just came back from our stay at the Hyatt Ziva! The staff is super friendly and very attentive. The pools were okay. They do have a good amount of them but most of pools were warm. My kids did enjoy the waterslides and did not want to leave that area! The grounds as whole is nice but it would be great with some music during the day not just at night. One of my major concerns was the dining. They always asked about food allergies but that was as far as it was taken. The buffet had all of the pastries and desserts in one area with limited labels of just the name not the ingredients. My kids could not eat any of the desserts due to this. Also, in the coffee shop some of the pastries were labeled with âcontaining nutsâ but when I asked the employee he assured there were no nuts! This was also the same case in the Miyako restaurant, the employee said many of the menu items were printed wrong with the symbol to say containing nuts which was very concerning to a family whose children have severe nut allergies. Overall, the stay was good but in the future I would choose another resort closer to the hotel zone.
The hotel was excellent, the employees there were so very nice, professional. The food is delicious, the shows at night are excellent, the kids area safe and fun.
The Mexican night was excellent the mariachis, foods and decorations⊠We really enjoyed our stayed at Hyatt Ziva Rivera Cancun⊠Is highly recommended for familiesâŠ
The beach had lots of Sargassum during our stay, so we couldnât enjoy the beach. Cleanliness could have been better, the food was decent, the entertainment is what made it better. My kids enjoyed their stay.
We found the staff incredibly professional, helpful, very nice and always going above and beyond the call of duty.
Food was fantastic in all their restaurants.
I wish I can no stars. This was the worst vacation ever! Hyatt and the whole resort staff needs a revamp. Shut the place down and start from scratch. As a frequent traveler, I can say w/all guarantee that Iâve never felt so unwelcome in a country/place. I was stressed/angry/anxious/sad throughout my stay. The food/customer service/cleanliness 0/100. This was supposed to be a âfunâ family getaway, quickly turned into a nightmare. Insane to think one works hard to save their money to leave the country, only to find an unpleasant situation. Let me just say this, talk about colorism. If youâre not a member of the hotel, and youâre just paying a room as guest, youâre treated like trash.
