Pros: clean, beautiful resort with good food and responsive staff.
Cons: the beach isn’t nice, the small pools are aesthetically pleasing but get too warm in the sun and while the staff individually are very helpful and responsive, they wouldn’t need to be if the resort was run properly. From our doors left open by cleaning staff to hotel electronics being stolen from our room during our stay, it was one inconvenience after another. On our arrival, I went to confirm our dinner reservations made in advance and was told half of them were not reserved. I had to rebook them to be told the next day that it was a mistake and our original reservations were there. We had a server lie to my dad, telling him the drink he ordered was correct when they in fact served him a lesser quality beverage and expected him to not notice the difference. We were also begged by text message and in person to attend the sales presentation. After declining, we were bribed with free spa services and agreed to attend. The sales associates (other than one) were hostile, rude and aggressive despite my having been clear that I wasn’t going to be interested in purchasing. They then tried to withhold the spa vouchers/limit how they could be applied in retaliation.
The resort is affiliated with the Hard Rock hotels (the Legacy membership applies to all) and attracts the same crowd - loud, inconsiderate and obnoxious.
If you’re looking for relaxation, this isn’t the right place.
