HOTEL: The hotel appears to have been built in the 1990’s, but is in very good condition overall. The staff was very polite and professional. The hotel was generally pretty clean, and we frequently saw employees cleaning, painting, and tending to the landscaping. We did notice some cracked tiles here and there and some dirt on the hallway floors, but this did not affect anything overall.
ROOMS: Many of the rooms at this hotel have a view of the ocean, and I specifically reserved a beachfront room. Unless you pay an up-charge, you will likely have a lagoon or street view. Our room was on the 5th floor, with a beautiful view of the ocean and pool. The room also had a flat-screen TV, and free use of the in-room safe. There is a small refrigerator in the room, and it is stocked with water, soda, and beer. We typically used all the water bottles, but if you ask, they will refill the fridge or bring more refreshments. There was an overhead fan in the room, and our air conditioning worked extremely well.
FOOD: The food was always excellent in the buffet (“Elements”). We also had dinner at the Steakhouse, the Mexican and the Asian premium restaurants. The Steakhouse was by far our favorite. The Mexican was also very good, but we felt that the Asian restaurant was not that great.
ROOM SERVICE: Room service at this hotel was kind of hit-or-miss. Sometimes when we called for more water or a food item, it never got delivered. Other times, they would be at our door in five minutes.
