« Perfect location for the beautiful northern lakes and pennines. Yew Tree Cottage is as shown, beautifully furnished, comfortable, as were the beds and bedding, inc great pillows. Welcome pack of tea coffee milk and delicious home made blueberry muffins. The one thing we needed assistance with the owners were very responsive and resolved that same afternoon (on a BH weekend). « The lords seat was a lovely place to stay, very comfortable and clean. Great location with amazing views. Nice to have the extras like the dvds and games. The only disappointing thing was the water going off (ironic in the lake district) but obviously not your fault. The only thing that would have helped is instructions on a couple of things. « This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all...

« Everything from booking process (speaking to a real person) to the stay was F-A-N-T-A-B-U-L-O-U-S. What a brilliant wee bolthole for 2, and as central to the town square as you could possibly be (about 30 steps away).
