« A beautiful old property with stunning grounds and views, friendly, helpful staff, and an old fashioned wood panelled interior. The public areas and dining area are lovely. I had a single room with comfy bed, plenty of tea/coffee & storage. England suite was well equipped. l was a little surprised at the marks on the paintwork around the bed for such a high quality hotel, but this didn't affect my stay »

« The hotel is beautiful from the outside and located in such a picturesque area but the room we got was a disappointment. Located on the first floor and tucked in a corner, it did not match the pictures on the site and looked rather old (except for the bathroom), with an uncomfortably slumping mattress. The view was on some sort of roof/installation that nearly blocked all light. I will add that other rooms, which I saw the next morning while housekeeping was cleaning, looked much better. I'm...

« The pub was closed so self check in! Room had aroma of the open fire from downstairs even though not lit. No tv in room view was over the garbage area. »

« Great value for money. The view from the room was lovely, the bed was comfortable and clean. Shower was nice and warm. Plenty of tea/coffee provided. My meal in the bar was very nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. It is a very old coaching inn, and needs a little tlc in places (e.g, the corridors/stairs could do with a lick of paint) but this is reflected in the price. The room was nicely decorated and well presented. I enjoyed my stay & will happily stay again in the future. »
