« Great location with views over the lake, large car park, lovely helpful staff, buffet style breakfast, relaxed evening dining, great spa which is having a refurbishment of its outdoor facilities at present. »

« Personnel vraiment très accueillant. Chambre de belles dimensions pour le prix avec petit dej énorme inclus et parking gratuit. Grande salle de bains (toilettes dans la sdb). Lits un peu mous mais ça va. Très belle terrasse sur le lac. En revanche le resto est cher et la brasserie bruyante. Il vaut mieux diner dehors. »

« Nice hotel , nice garden with places to sit in among the ducks. Clean rooms . Bit unsure on how to get into the model village on site , no information on it anywhere. Got to the gate only to find you needed a ticket from reception which is a good way back up hill so didn’t bother. Sign at reception would have been a good idea. Lovely receptionist when we checked in but the one in the morning was so miserable, never smiled and just seemed like she didn’t want to be there . Having said that...

« Excellent room, very helpful and friendly staff, good amenities. Would stay here again and again. Transport links good for travelling to Windermere, Ambleside and Grasmere. Taxis from train station cheaper than the bus! »

« Lovely room. We booked the dog friendly room and we had dog bowls, and a doggy treat pack including toy, treats & poo bags. Nice little touch! Great food as always, lovely full English breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Would definitely recommend. »

« We stayed for 2 nights in a very small double standard room. No storage space,just a bar about a metre long to hang a couple of items on and small bedside drawers .There was a complimentary breakfast provided and tea making facilities but only a tiny stool so breakfast had to be eaten sitting on the bed. All that being said the room was clean and the bed . In the shower room there is a small towel rail but only big enough for hand towels,we had to drape the wet bath towels over the shower door....

« Great location close to the waterfront. Lots of charm and cozy factor, and helpful staff. Our room was clean, but showing a bit of wear and tear. Reception is in the restaurant, and you may have to wait for restaurant guests to check in. Parking can be difficult at peak times. »
