« Hillthwaite feels staying in a family home rather than a hotel and the warm welcome certainly matches. The room was spacious and bedding extremely comfortable, which was perfect for a mini break in the area. Extra points for the bathtub (in addition to a full shower)! Breakfast was excellent and the staff is lovely. »

« We came back late from a long walk in the Lakes and realize arriving in our room that they gave us a room with no blind or curtain !!!! We rang the Reception at 11pm they said someone was coming but nobody showed up. The following morning when we wanted to record a formal claim the receptionist just told us "sorry" It is a shame !!! Avoid this hotel ! You pay a high rate for the location but the rest is shameful !! »

« The cabin was perfect, really big compared to other ones ive stayed at. The hot tub was nice and private and such a good temperature. The breakfast was good and the food at the returant was great. Honestly couldnt fault the stay atall. The lady at reception was so welcoming and we will definitely be coming back! »

« Absolutely stunning views from the room. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate a different room for my 1 year old son. I was given a room with a 4 poster bed and requested one without this. The manager showed me 3 different rooms one of which was a family room (even though I only booked a double room) just to cater to my request. She was patient and allowed me to choose a room I ended up going with the original room given to me as the views were beautiful and not once...
