Absolutely beautiful hotel and the staff are amazing. Hotel was centrally based right opposite the theatre. I emailed in advance about us being there for a birthday and we were given a room upgrade! The bar was lovely, we sat in the terrace as it was warm outside with the heating. Breakfast was amazing! Definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely hotel, excellent location, beautiful room with view of River and Royal Shakespeare Theatre, lovely touches in room, drinks, nibbles, toiletries etc, Staff could not do enough for us, would definitely recommend you stay here!!!

The location is great for the RSC Theatre. Unfortunately my room was well below expectation - I don’t know if booking via Expedia even as a VIP guest was the cause. The room was on the ground floor at street level so anyone walking past could look straight in. The bathroom was in poor repair mouldy grout on the bath and damage to the bath itself. There was no dresser or shelving for clothes just hanging wardrobe. All in all a big disappointment.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Friendly and welcoming Only gripe would be the floorboards around the hotel are incredibly squeaky so noisy inside the room from people walking in the corridors

The property was in a great location and the staff member that helped us checkin was really helpful. The room and bathroom were specious but the bathroom was not in a great condition. We noticed some stains on the sink that weren't cleaned properly, but this was quickly taken care of by the cleaning staff when we notified reception. The bathtub showed severe wear and tear, there were big rust spots, mould patches and the drain would not stay open. Overall we had a good experience, but the rooms are in need of some renovation and higher cleaning standards.

Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, great location! This is my second stay at The Arden, and it was as lovely as the first. The staff even put a Happy Birthday surprise in the room on arrival for my mum, which was much appreciated.

We have stayed here in the past and been very happy. This time it was a very disappointing experience all around. The property is now very tired (which we could put up with) but also not very clean and the food hugely disappointing. We will definitely look for alternative accommodation and meal options on our next visit.

Not as good as before.
Hotel is lovely, staff are friendly and keen to help. Rooms are spacious and there are some nice touches, like fresh milk in the fridge. Breakfast on this stay was poor. Service was very slow, items were not available, coffee and tea were very weak. We have visited before and this was nothing like previous experiences. We had a pre theatre dinner which was excellent.

Lovely hotel for our stay. Husband and wife and toddler. The room was a great size to fit our travel cot. The staff were really lovely and welcoming. The hotel was also brilliantly located within walking distance of all the town’s main areas.

Average stay
Nice big room and big bathroom with a shower and bath,king size bed (two twin beds pushed together), room was clean but very hot although the heating in the room was off the hotel was very hot which made it uncomfortable and hard to have a good nights sleep this is in febuary so it wasnt because of the weather air con didnt work, had the breakfast which cost £20 pp which is pricey but the food we had was nice no complaints overall i think this hotel is average for the price we paid to stay

Hotel muito bom. Super bem localizado,com estacionamento próprio (o que é raro na região) e restaurante de primeira. Quarto moderno e cama gigante. Deixam algum quitutes e água de graça no frigobar. Ainda tem o bônus de ficar ao lado de um dos mais tradicionais pubs da região. Vale a estadia.

Lovely hotel. With great front of desk staff and luxury touches that go beyond what you'd expect from a 4*. Excellent location near the waterfront in Stratford, with everything you could want within walking distance. Breakfast was a little unexciting and I don't think the evening dining options and menu are appealing. At least not in winter. Would certainly go back and recommend to others.

Great hotel and staff
Great hotel in a great location, with perfect service. Minor areas for improvement would be breakfast. It felt like it was served on a budget with half a black pudding, a tiny hash brown and a continental breakfast that looked like half the options were missing.

The Arden
Had a great time in Stratford, hotel was lovely so we’re staff, only had one gripe it’s an old building and the room we stayed in was by the staircase and it was very noisy and squeaky would stay again but choose a different room.

We’ve stayed here many times as it was an SLH hotel. It’s a wonderful hotel in the centre of Stratford, perfect for the RSC, however the rooms are starting to look a little tired, it could do we a refresh.

Upgraded room was not so good. The room smelt damp due to a leak in the bathroom, the bed was uncomfortable, the tv did not get all the channels and the people in the next room were noisy, waking us up at 6am with their tv blaring. The lady on reception however was very apologetic and helpfull so found us another room, which althoug smaller,was much better. The breakfast on the first morning was ok but on the second morning my husband was served cold scrambled eggs which he had to send back. All in all it was a pleasant stay in a nice hotel in a good location with very pleasant staff, but all those stairs!
