The property itself was beautiful, however, woke up at 2:30 in the morning to an ant infested room, they were every where, not just a few, but thousands. Have photos and film of the swarm. Tried to phone any service button on the phone and not one person answered. Went downstairs to the front desk and waited 10 minutes, no one was there or even came in the front lobby door. Went back upstairs, tried all the service calls again and finally someone in house keeping answered the phone and they showed up with bug spray. I wanted out of the room Immediately concerned the insects would find a way into our luggage. The house keeping staff found,the night desk clerk and he he stuck us in a room on the first floor that was dirty and smelled horrible. It had not been cleaned, there was not even water in the room, but he assured us that we would be put into a new room same category in the early morning as soon as the full time staff arrived. My husband and I could not Get back to sleep we were both freaked out and exhausted, this should not be happening in such an expensive and nice hotel and of course they amount of money we were paying seemed ridiculous that we should have to put up with this nonsense and somewhat lack of concern on the hotels part. At 7:30 am in the morning I went to the front desk having not heard from them and asked for a new room, at which point was informed that we would have to wait until at least noon until they accommodate that, it went down hill!
