« The cottage is a treasure and the island is beautiful. Wonderful views of herons and other wildlife always outside the back windows! Our family of six (including four teenage boys) stayed comfortably at the house. It felt like borrowing a friend's well-stocked vacation home. Plenty of kitchen gear and dishes for cooking (which we used several nights). Things to consider: to access the Gloucester Point area, you must cross a draw bridge. It is a cool bridge to cross, but every time you go into...

« Just the perfect retreat! The house was delightful, comfortable and well appointed. We loved how secluded the property was and having a private beach to explore was fantastic. Our dogs loved the woods and playing on the river!The owner was so nice, easy to communicate with and gave excellent tips to make our stay even more memorable. We enjoyed the private slice of beach right outside the cottage and kayaking with the kids in the river. « We stayed here for 5 days. It it felt like home and was very close to all the locations to see in Williamsburg it was very nice inside and out. It has all the amenities that you would probably have at your house. All the VRBO reviews on its location we're very helpful and honest. Local brewery just down the street Frothy Moon that place good also. We will book again here if ever in the area on vacation. »

« First, I did not realize how far off the beaten path the property was; however, it wasn't a difficult or treacherous drive. Once arriving, it was well worth it. The property is immaculate and provided all the basic needs to cook and enjoy the amenities. The river is beautiful, and watching it from the sunroom happened daily. I will definitely look at this property when returning, hopefully it will be warmer but the firepit offered warmth and smores when sitting out back enjoying the river...

« We enjoyed our stay so much. We enjoyed playing on our own private beach. The water was so warm each day! Fishing was good on the James River as well. We loved how the house was at the end of the lane and surrounded by trees,. It gave us a very private feel. If you LOVE Bald eagles this is a place for you to stay. "Un resort fantastique avec de très belles maisons individuelles. Très spacieuse bien équipée. De nombreuses activités, piscine, mini golf, ping pong tennis… Seul bémol le personnel n’est pas très sympathique."
