« The property was very clean. There are plenty of towels and the kitchen is very well stocked. If you need an appliance, it's probably in the kitchen. The yard was well kept as well. The only down side was that it isn't as close to the water as we had expected. You can see the river, but to get to it, you basically need to drive. And the confederate flag flying on the beach is a little disconcerting. It deterred me from going down there. »

« Cottage très propre et bien confortable avec tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Une vue fabuleuse sur le fleuve, une plage privée, un calme absolu, des balbuzards pêcheurs comme spectacle journalier.... Seuls points négatifs: salle de bain/ toilette vraiment petite, par contre fonctionnant très bien. Et les lits faisaient 130 cm de large( après vérification!)... Un peu étroit pour des couples. Malgré cela, nous avons passé une très bonne semaine, vraiment ressourçante et dépaysante! »

« What a hidden gem of a place! A gorgeous river cottage overlooking the St James River. Grateful to be immersed in a natural rural atmosphere and also so close to many things to do both at the cottage and near Williamsburg. We swam, walked the beach, kayaked and fished! A magical sun rising over the StJames River takes one’s breathe away! I understand why people come back here. It’s a very special place. Reminds me of being on a lake which reminds me of my childhood! The Ferry is close, free...

« We return to this pet friendly, secluded spot every year! It’s the best escape and disconnect if you’re looking to relax and clear your mind! Highly recommend Surry Seafood for a nice dinner out (about 12-15min from the house), but recommend bringing groceries, because you truly won’t want to leave once you arrive. We already look forward to our stay next year! »

« We had a great stay. The house was exactly as described and the hosts were very gracious. The house was equipped with anything you could need. We would highly recommend. »

« This beautiful home housed three generations of eight adults with ease and charm. We each had plenty of room to relax on our own, but more importantly we were able to gather for meals and in the evening to sit and chat with each other. (Also, even with so many people, we never ran out of hot water!) The house has something unique to look at in literally every corner and on every wall. The grounds are spectacular with the beautiful garden as the crown jewel! We wanted historic charm for this...

« Un resort fantastique avec de très belles maisons individuelles. Très spacieuse bien équipée. De nombreuses activités, piscine, mini golf, ping pong tennis… Seul bémol le personnel n’est pas très sympathique. »
