Vacaciones Inolvidables

The hotel overall was fun and very good for kids. The food was great and the staff was really nice and welcoming. It's a very good family resort but the rooms are really really out dated and their beds are so uncomfortable. The tv is really old and the bathroom looked like it needed a lot of work and they were just covering up the broken and old parts of it with cement and old glue. If they fix the rooms then the hotel will defiantly recieve a 5 star rating because the staff and the activities and the entertainment is AMAZING!

Never again.

Stuff is rude and careless. Food is noneatable, except couple of dishes. In the buffet at lunch and dinner time you are not able to take water or any drink yourself. You must waive to waiters, call them, ask them to bring you some water, but be prepared to wait forever. Batenders can ignore you for 10 minutes, speaking to coworkers and moving glasses around. The same picture with reseption people. Do not buy any tous from Expedia guy. He is very unprofessional. Be aware that you cannot ride water slides wearing your UV t-short in the waterpark. They do not care if your skin is burning like a paper on flames on that sun. The stuff just saying "it's a rule". So you better cover yourself and your kids with the very thick layer of the sun lotion. However, animation on the beach and pool was very good, and some night shows are very pleasant.

Nice Hotel

Publié le 17 avr. 2016
So me and my daughter stayed at this resort for 5 days during spring break 12-16 April 2016, and we loved it. The hotel was about 45mins from the airport but it was worth it. the resort was very big so there was a lot to see and explore. The room was a good size and clean and right on the beach. The water park was included which was awesome we went there 2 days in a row we really like that they had their own snack/ lunch bar there so we didn't have to go all the way back to the main hotel for lunch. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was good we made 2 reservations and the other night had dinner at the main buffet which were theme nights. They did night shows which were not the best (the dancer sucked) but the bingo night and live bands were really good. All in all it was a great vacation and great family resort.

The hotel was old and needed a lot of maintenance.

Publié le 4 avr. 2016
Les + : The grounds were very nice and clean. The shows were good. The beach was good but people didn't seem to clean up after themselves.
Les - : A regular maintenance program would be good and when something was brought to their attention it should be fixed or at least looked at.
Situation : The zip lines were a good thing to do as well as the Monkey land. Snorkeling was good on the beach and you could see a variety of fish.
You had to pay for premium liquor, hotel room safe, internet access. All inclusive did not include premium liquor. You had to book for restaurant visits. You were only allowed two visits per week. The shower in our room would spray all over the floor and was mentioned to head desk and nothing was done. Our safe in our room did not work and was mentioned also to head desk and nothing was done. We found the rules of the hotel were not enforced like smoking every where and not wearing bare feet in eating areas, not wearing cover ups over bathing suits in eating areas.

Decent all-inclusive resort to go to in Puna Cana

Publié le 29 mars 2016
Les + : Decent food. A few friendly wait staff, where we sat at Eridania Cabrera's station most of the time. Kids loved the waterpark. Loved the beach!
Les - : Close the pool bar at 6 pm, leave the pool open till 10 pm like in Cancun. Check-out process was very slow. Offer free wifi like most resorts now.
Situation : Although we saw a few things to do outside the resort, we were happy just to be inside the resort.
For the price I paid for our stay from 3/19/16 thru 3/25/16 for 2 adults, and 2 kids, this resort is actually very good. It started out as not so good, cause the check-in staff was unfortunately not that competent. Then when we got to our room, it had somewhat of a moldy smell. But as the days went by, our experience got better. The weird smell in our room disappeared, as it was cleaned daily. The buffet was pretty good most of the time. For the lunch and snack buffets, their hamburgers were really weird, as I was not sure what they were really made of. Definitely NOT regular ground beef. Drinks were OK. Definitely not what you would get from a decent restaurant here in the US. But hey, for as long as there is alcohol in it, and you're on the beach, who cares, right? :-) They have peacocks roaming the resort which was pretty cool as the kids loved them. The bad thing was, they yelled in the middle of the night through the morning hours. It was so loud that it was very tempting to shut them up permanently most of the time, as it disrupted our good night's sleep.Their nightly entertainment was no broadway by any means, but you can see that the cast worked hard enough to try to entertain the guests. Plus, my kids loved them. So thumbs up to them!! Pool and pool bar closes at 6 pm. I can understand closing the pool bar to give the big drinkers a rest, but not the pool. As night pool swimming is something I and most people I know love when you are in the Carribean.

Outdoor areas are the best part of hotel.

Publié le 14 mars 2016
Les + : The outdoor areas were great. Pool was clean with plenty of chairs for lounging both in the sun and in shade. Bar service was good as well.
Les - : The food. It's pretty bad.
Situation : The location is far away from airport, city centers and other hotels. You can do excursions that are nearby but pricey.
The pool, grounds and beach areas are very nice and clean. The rooms don't quite measure up to that level. We had quite a few problems during our week stay including ongoing plumbing issues, electrical issues and air conditioning problems. Almost every day there was some type of maintenance or repair needed. At first, we would go to the front desk or hotel management to get these problems solved with little assistance. Soon, we figured out that in order to get prompt service we needed to go through the concierge. He was much more helpful but it came with a price - we had to go through a time share presentation. We suffered through a couple of hours in order to get the better service that was promised. He did indeed deliver and our maintenance issues were dealt with promptly from then on. He also arranged several dinners in the theme restaurants to make up for our trouble. Overall the room issues were a minor inconvenience. The reason why I rated the hotel so low was because of the absolutely horrible food. The themed restaurants, which require a reservation, are only slightly better than the buffet - which is pretty awful. I was not expecting much when it came to the food and I was right. What was disappointing to me is that the hotel is so remote that you have almost no choice but to eat there. We did find a nice beach restaurant that was a short walk away for lunches that were fresh caught fish and lobster so that helped. Hope this review helps.
