Decent all-inclusive resort to go to in Puna Cana

For the price I paid for our stay from 3/19/16 thru 3/25/16 for 2 adults, and 2 kids, this resort is actually very good. It started out as not so good, cause the check-in staff was unfortunately not that competent. Then when we got to our room, it had somewhat of a moldy smell. But as the days went by, our experience got better. The weird smell in our room disappeared, as it was cleaned daily. The buffet was pretty good most of the time. For the lunch and snack buffets, their hamburgers were really weird, as I was not sure what they were really made of. Definitely NOT regular ground beef. Drinks were OK. Definitely not what you would get from a decent restaurant here in the US. But hey, for as long as there is alcohol in it, and you're on the beach, who cares, right? :-) They have peacocks roaming the resort which was pretty cool as the kids loved them. The bad thing was, they yelled in the middle of the night through the morning hours. It was so loud that it was very tempting to shut them up permanently most of the time, as it disrupted our good night's sleep.Their nightly entertainment was no broadway by any means, but you can see that the cast worked hard enough to try to entertain the guests. Plus, my kids loved them. So thumbs up to them!! Pool and pool bar closes at 6 pm. I can understand closing the pool bar to give the big drinkers a rest, but not the pool. As night pool swimming is something I and most people I know love when you are in the Carribean.
