« We were only advised of the ongoing construction project after paying for the booking. Checking in was very poor and we had a long wait for the room to be ready. We were then advised the day after checking in that the room would only be made up during our stay upon request each day. As the room had virtually no facilities in terms of water, coffee, tea etc., the need to get the room made up was important. « The hotel is in the beautiful city of Grasmere. There was limited parking even though online advertised available parking. When I booked online, the family room showed two beds. When we arrived, there was only one. The plumbing was very noisy and the shower was very narrow and hard to use. The bed was not comfortable at all. »
