« This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Amthweight Hall, the accommodation was excellent, as was the staff, they couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was 10 out of 10, and again, very helpful, as my wife wanted her coffee a paticular temperature, and strength, they bent over backwards to make her perfect cup of coffee !! The grounds and the building, are kept immaculate. The Spa facilities, again 10 out of 10, gym, sauna, steam room, plunge pool, swimming pool and outside hot pool, plenty...

« Personnel vraiment très accueillant. Chambre de belles dimensions pour le prix avec petit dej énorme inclus et parking gratuit. Grande salle de bains (toilettes dans la sdb). Lits un peu mous mais ça va. Très belle terrasse sur le lac. En revanche le resto est cher et la brasserie bruyante. Il vaut mieux diner dehors. »

« We stayed here just as a stop over and it was a very small and low double bed in a huge room. It wasnt the cleanest so I was glad I had slippers with me. Shower ceiling was too low for a 6'2 person so my partner had to crouch. The main parts of the hotel looked nice on arrival, but we didnt make use of it. Nice and quiet despite the location. »

« We came back late from a long walk in the Lakes and realize arriving in our room that they gave us a room with no blind or curtain !!!! We rang the Reception at 11pm they said someone was coming but nobody showed up. The following morning when we wanted to record a formal claim the receptionist just told us "sorry" It is a shame !!! Avoid this hotel ! You pay a high rate for the location but the rest is shameful !! »

« Excellent room, we had an executive suite and the view was marvellous as was the huge four poster bed. Breakfast was excellent, one of the best we've had, proper cumberland sausages - what can I say!. Staff were also excellent especially Joanne the manager who went above and beyond to make our 4 night stay very enjoyable. We had 2 meals in the hotel pub and again the food was of a very high standard, one meal was a sunday roast which I found absolutely superb. Will definitely stay here...
