« We had the best time at the Shingle Shack! The house was spacious and comfortable. It is has a very homey feel to it. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. There is a great little market within a few minutes drive that we v bought all of our groceries at. The kayaks were fun to take out into the lake. « Very well kept, clean and in a great location. My wife loves falling asleep to the sound of the running water in the brook outside the main bedroom window. Highly recommend. »

« My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. The checkin process was flawless. He even offered us early checkin! We enjoyed the local restaurants while visiting, but if we had chosen to cook the kitchen is FULLY stocked with every pot, pan and spices you could need! The dock is very nice right at the entrance of the canal so you can watch boats coming in/out all day & night! Free entertainment!! There is a boat launch just 2 streets over that only costs 5 to use. Very convenient location!...

« Super spacious. Was nice that they had amazing touches that made them the best place we stayed from nice welcome gifts to having paddle boat and kayaks for us to use. Beds were SUPER COMFORTABLE. ive always stayed in hotels so i was super nervous about trying this but it was wonderful »

« We had an excellent trip. River was amazing and we especially liked reading the Legends of the Au Sable book that was left for guests. House had everything we needed including toiletries and extra blankets. Visiting the state park nearby was a highlight. Did not care for the camera in the backyard that I could hear every time I walked by while playing bocci ball. Recommend taking food with since there are only two bars and a dollar general in town. « We absolutely loved our stay! The location was ideal, and the home itself—both indoors and out—was beautiful and thoughtfully set up for a relaxing getaway. The sunsets were truly spectacular, and having access to the pontoon boat made the experience even more special. We were able to explore the sandbar and see a whole new side of the lake, which was a highlight of the trip.
