Amazing
Dave and Karen very friendly on arrival. Lovely room with a sea view. Bottle of wine provided as it was my wife’s birthday - nice gesture. Overall lovely place to stay with exceptional staff.

Highly recommended
We had a very enjoyable stay at the Balmoral hotel. We were welcomed by Dave who couldn’t do enough to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Our room had been refurbished to a good standard and we had everything we needed. The central position this hotel is excellent and the car parking was a added bonus.

Hotel is a little basic but very clean and almost too warm! Dave the manager was incredibly welcoming and helpful.

Lovely room with sea view
Room 30 is lovely with views of the sea and has a huge bathroom. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is really close to Bournemouth pier. The car park offers ample spaces. The rest of the hotel is a bit dated and work is underway to bring it up to date.

It is a beautiful hotel very close to the sea and all the main attractions. Also the owners Margret and Denise along with their front of house Karen were so friendly and professional. We will definitely be going back!!!

Happy hotel
The ladies that run the hotel are lovely and couldn't do enough, our room was one of the older not yet renevated rooms but it was comfortable and clean. In areas such as corridors it is a little run down but don't let that put you off, the location is good and parking great. Breakfast had a good choice and well cooked. We would stay again.

Nice hotel but needs updating.
The hotel is nice and bright but does need abit updating. The water pressure for the shower was slow!!! But apart from that the staff were lovely and the hotel is in a great location.

Excellent location, right in the town centre and 4 minutes to the beach. The hotel was a little disappointing. For the price the facilities need a major refurbishment. The shower was poor, bed was far too springy, curtains did not keep out any light, TV was small and room was quite small. No sea view room.

The service on arrival was impeccable! The lady showed us round the public areas and then directly to our room. Very friendly and very welcoming. I wish I could remember her name ! Room was lovely and clean. Definitely stay again x

Lovely typical seaside hotel
A lovely typical seaside hotel. Wonderful, helpful staff who cannot do enough for you. Decor could do with a little up date but overall a very pleasant stay with my kids. Location is perfect for the town centre and beach too.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The purpose of out visit was to go to The Pavilion Theatre and the location of this hotel was ideal. The food was lovely & there was plenty of it.

Good sized car park. Warm welcome from the receptionist who explained what time breakfast was and where to go for breakfast. Also advised which way to the centre/beach. The room was on the second floor but there was a small lift. Warm room with a wonderful view of the sea. The shower could have been better not a lot of pressure. Great breakfast. All the staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend

This hotel is very convenient for the beach
The hotel itself is lovely, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I know that rooms in all other hotels are very similarly priced however I did feel that the price of the room was a little high as the room was “tired” and could do with a makeover. However it was clean and comfortable enough so I don’t really have complaints.

It is in the best of location. 5 min walk to the beach and 5min walk to the nearest restaurants and bars. Hotel staff were very helpful and made us feel welcome.

Room at balmoral.....Beware room 16!!!
Very very tired and dirty room.carpets very very old and grubby.Shabby.Holes in walls and dust on walls. bathroom awful no shower facilities just bath old and worn.dirty skirting and plug sockets with holes did not look safe to use. Downstairs breakfast room awful and totally out of date run down seats and decor very very old. Not fit for its purpose room 16 run down needs updating immediately.Not worth the money at all very disappointing experience... They updated some areas lounge but sadly not used for breakfast room which is a shame as best room. Good location only near Indoor arena and beach if u are looking for any positives at all!!!!Never again grim experience spoilt the stay sadly. Needs immediate refurb....a hostel would have been better !! Mrs Lewis

good hotel, good & friendly staff, close to pier, currently part way through room refurbishment - we were in one of the 'old' rooms but this was still perfectly acceptable
