« Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton.The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price »

« We had a wonderful weekend away staying in the cottage. Jane was excellent with her communication and even leaving a few goodies in the way of a box of chocolates and a bottle of milk. Some previous reviews had mentioned the place not getting any sun but we found it the opposite. It was well lit in most parts of the house, warmed up during the day (even in wintertime now) and we loved being surrounded by the native trees. We didn’t have any complaints, other than one or two of the photos were...

« The house was perfect for three colleagues attending a conference at Claudlands. The home was very well appointed, beds were comfortable, house was warm and we had everything we needed. Jan was an exceptional host. Highly recommend this property. »

« Thanks for an awesome long weekend - we explored a little bit of Cambridge & discovered how cool it was. The local shops, Saturday market & bike hires were all really easy. There’s a great Lake walk minutes away & amazing local Italian for dinner. Thanks for making it easy to enjoy. The fresh flowers in the rooms were a lovely, welcoming touch. »

« Close enough to the airport that it only took about 15 minutes to get there after we arrived and needed to rest. Grocery and restaurants near by. 30-45 minutes to heart of Auckland, but typical for a city that size. Comfortable beds and clean. AC was a plus. »
