« Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton.The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price »

« This place grows on you. Evn though it needs some TLC, everything is there. It has a well set up kitchen (apart from a toaster - please note), good wifi, and the beds are comfie. Even get a little veiw of the harbour. So, for the price point its a 5 star kiwi bach. »

« We had a wonderful weekend away staying in the cottage. Jane was excellent with her communication and even leaving a few goodies in the way of a box of chocolates and a bottle of milk. Some previous reviews had mentioned the place not getting any sun but we found it the opposite. It was well lit in most parts of the house, warmed up during the day (even in wintertime now) and we loved being surrounded by the native trees.
