« We had a great time! Property was clean and easy to find! We had everything we needed as a group of 5 adults and one child. »

« The house was as listed and provided plenty of space for our family to eat and hang out together. Beds were comfortable. Towels plentiful and nice quality. Heat worked. Plenty of hot water. We just have two suggestions for improvement: the dishwasher does not clean dishes at all. Not even a little. The kitchen tools are there but are so cheap they hardly work-a spatula shouldn’t bend under a pancake. All the knives are extremely dull. »

« Staying at the Tobias Lear House in Portsmouth was definitely a 'bucket list' opportunity for my wife and me. We have visited Portsmouth many times, always staying in the downtown area and taking our leisurely strolls through the South Mill Pond area. Well, a few years ago after visiting the Wentworth Museum, we learned the Tobias Lear House can be rented for overnight stays, and we couldn't pass up this opportunity. It did NOT disappoint! « Celebrated my daughter’s sweet sixteen at the beach. This place was clean, comfortable and close to the beach. The owner was always available for any questions. Highly recommend!! Would stay at again with my family. »

« This was a great place to stay with family. The bedrooms were comfortable and having 2 bathrooms really helped, especially the 1/2 bath off the front porch which came in handy. Great location, literally less than 5 minute walk. This side of the beach is much less crowded and quieter than by the strip. It was very clean and cozy. I’d definitely stay again. »

« This house has two bedrooms downstairs and two upstairs. One bathroom (one of the listings stated 1). The outside of the house needs work. It would have been nice to be out on the deck enjoying the weather but needs updating. Beds are comfortable and linens seem new. Spacious inside. The location is next to EVERYTHING. Restaurants, music, shopping. Some items were broken and I did let the owners know. They were easy to contact. »

« We had a lovely time in this cozy house. We were able to cook a full Thanksgiving dinner in the well appointed kitchen. We enjoyed the special touch of morning coffee with reusable to go cups left for us by the owner as a welcome gift. we will definitely be back! »

« We loved our stay! It is difficult to find a great place that has enough space for my big family but this was perfect. The game room was extra family space and allowed people to watch tv while other people could play games. Remember to bring your beach towels. »

« Exceeded our expectations. Clean, amazing, comfy, fully loaded with whatever you need. Spent hours on the porches. Clear communication with host at all times. Close enough to the strip that I could ride a scooter but far enough away so it is much more quiet. Easy beach access! Dumpster Dive King and family will be back! Dog heaven!! »
