« Right across the street from the beach and about 8 miles from the newest black sand beach in the world. Be aware that the beaches here aren’t very kid friendly and the one across the beach is clothing optional. We (including our 7 and 9 year old) did go into the water, but the waves made me nervous. « This was our first trip of a lifetime to the beautiful “Big island” of Hawaii and literally stayed only a 4 minute drive to the entrance of Volcano National Park. This place was tucked away but so convenient to everything on the East side of the island. Yes! We were part of the LALA tropical storm turned into a category 1 hurricane that caused very heavy rain, strong winds, flooding, road problems with debris and fallen power lines around Volcano. But we were very well informed and felt safe...

« We had an amazing stay, the house was perfect for our family of 5. It is so close to the National Park that we were able to head over after dinner the night we arrived to see the active volcano, such an unforgettable experience! We enjoyed exploring the park and cooking meals in the kitchen so we could relax together. »

« This cottage is so cute and cozy! Clean and convenient. Lovingly maintained by the owner who lives on the property. Super quiet spot hidden in the rainforest neighborhood. Loved the rain on the roof at night. It is located only minutes away from the national park so we could go into town for dinner and then go back into the NP at night to see the sunset and the lava flow glow. The town of Volcano is super small with limited groceries available, but there are some really good restaurants right...
