« My daughter, her husband, and their four kids stayed in this charming home for five days while visiting my wife and I. Location was great, very close to a huge park for the kids to explore and play in. The home was very well equipped. The kids loved staying together in the bunk room. The adults liked the game room in the basement with a pool table. All in all, a great stay. Thanks so much. »

« Had a lovely stay and had a small party with family and friends. Check-in was seemless, host quickly fixed a small issue with the WiFi. Mattresses were WONDERFUL. Furniture is eclectic but very comfy. Young adults loved the hot tub. »

« We enjoyed our stay at the "Love Shack". My family and I traveled to Des Moines for a fastpitch softball tournament. We enjoyed our stay. The tournament was hot but the air conditioner was cold and felt great when we arrived. Everything was exactly as described. The dow stairs area was a very cool place to hang out. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in the area. »

« We had such a great stay in this house. Very big and clean. The patio was such a great relaxing place that we got to sit out there and see squirrels. Laundry detergent and fabric softner available for us. Neighborhood was quiet, tv was easy to navigate. If we come back we will stay here again! »

You can tell it was purchased with a quick-and-dirty turnaround as far as prepping it for VRBO-type stays.The host was responsive; the house was mostly clean; the appliances worked.This gets only four stars primarily because of a lack of light bulbs. Yes, seriously. Instead of light bulbs in the lamps in one of the bedrooms, there were click-on battery lights stuck onto where the light bulbs should go. « Stayed for a few nights with friends and the location couldn't be beat! Everything downtown is a stone's throw away. The two-car garage was incredibly convenient for our group. The owners were very helpful and accommodating, and very responsive before, during and after our stay. We encountered only a minor issue and they were quick to address it. Overall, great experience - would stay again next time I'm in town. »
