« We spent a long weekend in this lovely beach house with its modern decor and many facilities. It was well placed in the holiday village near to the pub and shop and path to the beach. The path itself was steep in parts but manageable. There is a lovely walk along the beach to Filey. A wondered stay. »

« Artist cottage was a comfortable well furnished and clean property. It was within walking distance of Harrogate and handy for visiting surrounding area. There is a railway line to rear but it wasn't intrusive. Our only concern was the extremely steep wooden stair to bedrooms and with the bathroom being on the ground floor, this was not ideal. So, I would say not for the older guest or anyone with walking difficulties. »

« Fabulous property right by the village centre with easy access to excellent walking right from the doorstep. The barn is lovely with all mod cons and facilities. There’s ample space to sit and chill both inside and out. The pub is next door and river walks within 2 minutes. Our group of friends loved it. »

« Colton Loft was very clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities that one would wish, situated in a beautiful quiet village with the helpful host living just next door. The 3 local pubs Plum and Partridge, Carlton Inn and the Fauconberg were all very good. Exploring York was also easy with the use of the excellent Rawcliff Bar park and ride. »

« We travelled as a family with tow young children. The accommodation was excellent, very modern, clean and got everything we needed. The location is ideal if you want peace and quiet, but close enough to the small village of Embsay and a short drive to Skipton. We will be back. »

« Nice clean cottage in a small village up a hill with several walking routes starting from or passing your front door (check Komoot). Large box filled with information about the neighborhood. Interior is a bit outdated but matches the rental fee. Easy contact with host. Great wifi for the kids One suggestion: install flat ceiling lamps in kitchen and hallway to prevent (tall) people from bumping into them and accidently breaking them... »

« The cottage was perfectly for us, beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, with everything you may need for a stay away from home, from a picnic bag to a slow cooker. The location is perfect.Walking distance to the park and ride for Whitby and a great restaurant and pub across the road. « First impressions not good due to long grass and weeds against front wall and do No freezer box in fridge. We weren’t expecting a freezer compartment as not listed. Only one bedside lamp in main bedroom Only comfortable seats for three people in sitting room.
