« This is a small property but for us was perfect, 3 adults. Extremely clean, well stocked. House was comfortable. Owner was super with communications and found us an excellent fishing guide that I would highly recommend - New River Gorge Outfitters. The home was close to Pipestem State park and an hour or so from main hiking trails near Fayetteville. Staying in Hinton was perfect for us. Not a lot of restaurants so be sure to bring groceries. There is a Kroger not too far away but we didn't go...

« We came prepared to “glamp” with lanterns and flashlights, and a cooler. Opening the front door was absolutely stunning! Greeted with a chilled decanter of peach tea and crystal glassware was very appreciated after a three day drive. The decor is impeccable, the bed and shower 5*, and the hot tub a luxury we used every night. Feeding the koi and watching the deer was an added bonus. The location was perfect for my daughter and me to visit the National Park and eat at the local diner. Very serene...

« We were in WV for a family reunion and were so excited to find a place that was within our budget and close to the reunion. We were even more pleased when we arrived and saw things. From the location and layout to its cleanliness and amenities - everything was great. Check-in was seamless and the property owner was super responsive and helpful. We liked it so much we’re considering another - longer - trip this fall! »

« House was just as listed. Plenty of space inside and outside. Lots of room for parking trucks/trailers. Great communication with host, he called a fees days before our trip and explained the best route and everything else we needed to know! »

« Very nice property along the river. Only thing that I could possibly complain about is the bed in the single cabin uses to be a double when our family stayed before now it's more like a bunk bed not suitable for a couple and the pillows on it are so heavy you can't even pick them up. Maybe update the photos to all the new work done that looks so nice since we last stayed. »

« We really enjoyed this location this year, we have stayed at others before, but this one is by far the nicest. Beds are all comfortable, and the location is good for fishing Walker Creek and the New River. And the local friendly dog came every evening to hang out. He loves Hot dogs! »

The kitchen was fully stocked with implements to make a delicious surf and turf dinner. 1st floor bath had a wonderful shower and the queen beds were great. Host was very responsive and helpful. « If you’re looking for a unique, off the beaten path type of place to stay while in the Princeton area, this is for you. Just 3/4 mile off Hwy 460, sits what we called “Granny’s Cabin”. Rustic and austere but with all the basic conveniences. Easy access to Princeton and surrounding state parks. Don’t forget to try Dab’s Country Kitchen in Princeton as well. Fantastic food! »
