« Gooseberry Cottage is set back in the birch and pine forest on the coast of Madeline Island. It's very peaceful, charming and comfortable. I was there to visit with my best friend from grade school and her significant other and meet other friends and family staying at other cabins on Madeline Island. We buried my parents' ashes in Greenwood Cemetery after a small and convivial service celebrating my mother's life as she died last year. We also walked the beach, visited the cliffs at Big Bay...

« This property served as a fantastic base camp for our annual trip to the north woods. The house was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. On the first night, we noticed the exterior lights were not working. I contacted the host, and he had them repaired by the next day. The host was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. The bonus was the sunsets over the lake. »

« We had 8 guys spend 3 nights at this property. Cabin is wonderful and has a beautiful large open concept living room and kitchen. The presentation of everything is stunning with great natural light and accent lighting throughout. The couches were comfy, or comfy for 20 something year olds to crash on. There were also reclining options that were appreciated. Perfect house for a group of couples to rent out, maybe a large group of friends if you do not mind cuddling. We were able to see the lake...

« This house was a dream cabin that gave 14 family members space to spread out and room to gather all together around one table. We were a group of four generations ages 5-85. The cabin has such a cozy esthetic and is spacious and comfortable with incredible views of the Apostle Islands and sunsets. »

« We are not very experienced with staying in other’s homes, but really am starting to love it! I wish we could have enjoyed it more! We were up for a 2 day funeral event, and the timing of events limited us. I loved that our kids could spread out. My only regret was I never looked at the other bathroom until we were leaving! Our kids got that one, the master bath while my husband and I got the other!My husband and I haven’t slept in a double bed for over 20 years, that really took a second to get...

« The cabin is in front of the main house, but it is well equipped with amenities and the owners gave us total privacy. You need to walk around the main house to get to the dock. 2 sit upon kayaks are tethered to the dock, which my husband used and enjoyed. The property and the cabin are 10/10. Hope to return… »
