« Walden was exactly as advertised. We loved the cozy atmosphere and creature comforts. Due to rainy weather we did not get to utilize a lot of the outdoor and riverside amenities but recognized them for being available had the weather cooperated. Derek was very responsive to any needs we had. We loved the screened porch and ate their and enjoyed drinks despite the weather. We are already planning a return visit. »

« Amazing cabin! Very clean inside and the hot tub was in great condition. Perfect get away for my husband and I. Definitely would recommend taking a 4wd vehicle, the roads going up were steep on some areas. 10/10 LOVED this property and we will be back! »

« We loved our stay and plan on returning in the future for a longer stay so we can experience more. It was about the same cost as a hotel stay, but with more of a home feel and a lot more room. I also enjoyed the view of the lake from our front porch. If I could suggeat one little change, maybe open the gym a little earlier than 9am, but that's all. »

« Beautiful Cabin in the woods. Clean, well stocked and well maintained. Beautiful area in the Shenandoahs. The fish were not biting but everything else was perfect. Some spider web removal on the back deck near the Hot Tub and trash cans may be necessary, but to be expected in the woods. Highly recommend this cabin and plan return again !! »

« We spent a fun weekend at this property. Having lived in the area for 16 years I have driven by this gem countless times, always admiring it but I could never have imagined how nice, how peaceful a property it is. It's conveniently located close to everything but nestled away for privacy. The game room was a hit, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen well-stocked with everything you need for meals. I highly recommend it and will be glad to stay here again. Cheers! »

The bedrooms were small but adequate. The playroom was super fun. The only thing that I would change would be to brighten up the downstairs bedroom. « A great experience all-around for a quiet anniversary weekend. Cabin was really nice, with great view of the mountains. Even though our weather was not great, it was still fun to sit on the porch and watch the clouds move over the mountains. The location is great too; we enjoyed dinner in Luray, which is just maybe ten minutes away. It's also close to the Skyline Drive entrance and lots of hiking opportunities. « I wanted to take my kids to Luray Caverns and to explore Skyline Drive because those were good memories from my childhood. The kids (10 & 12) enjoyed both. We loved being right on the river but I'll admit the bugs were out in full force this first weekend of May. This was our first time renting a pet friendly home so we could bring our small dog and I am thrilled to say that you could not tell that other dogs had been staying there. « Enjoyed all the wildlife and the gorgeous weather! There will always be bugs everywhere and the showers have seen better days but we loved watching the birds and bees. There’s a sweet little bird that nested by the door. The kitchen is lovely and fully functional, the space is clean, the beds are comfortable, and the view was incredible. No internet access. »

« Spent 4 days here with my fiancé and two friends , and we absolutely loved it, it was so relaxing and refreshing , the property is gorgeous Only negatives i have to say , if youre bad at following directions (which i was given) you end up on a very hard to pass road and will likely get stuck if you dont know what youre doing .. if you follow the owner directions properly you get a very easily passable road (like i said , my fault not theres but just for anyone in the future that makes the same...
