A terrific stay

We enjoyed the Sandpiper and the town of Spring Lake. A quick three day get-away went wonderfully. The B&B exceeded our expectations!

Lovely Inn Close to Beach

We had a great time and wished we could stay longer. The Sandpiper is basically a big old house and is comfortable, unpretentious, and gracious. Our room was both pretty and immaculate and all the amenities (comfortable bed, working TV and DVD, nice cold air conditioning, wonderful jacuzzi tub) were great. Chris, the innkeeper, was super friendly and accommodating. The inn provides everything you need for the beach (except your suits and sunblock!)--beach badges, towels and chairs, water and snacks. The teatime service was really nice and included a great assortment of delicious treats and snacks. Breakfast at the Bistro Cafe, included in the room fee, was delicious. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay and will definitely go back!

A charming and comfortable inn

We had a pleasant stay even though the weather was not great. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed the snacks in the beautiful living room. The staff was very accommodating. We would definitely stay there again.

Loved this B&B

We were very happy with this B&B, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean, bicycles are available free of charge, indoor pool, nice wrap around porch. I liked that there was a resturant on the first floor, where the breakfast was served in the morning.Would go again!

Love Sandpiper Inn

We stayed at the Sandpiper Inn over the July 4th holiday and found it to be relaxing, charming and quiet. Our room was very spacious and there were nice "extras". Bikes, towels, chairs, beach passes as well as bottled water, sodas and snacks at 4pm. Chris is very friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions and shopping. The porch was wonderful with a view of the ocean and the lovely surrounding neighborhood. We will definitely return and will recommend it to others!

Perfect accommodations in gorgeous oceanside town.

We wanted to hit a scenic beach in New Jersey, but wanted to go somewhere other than Cape May. I had been to Spring Lake before, and remembered it to be beautiful. We found that The Sandpiper had some limited availability for the dates we wanted, so we booked it...what a wonderfully pleasant surprise. We picked the least expensive room, but found the room to be cool and comfortable (although the climb to the 4th floor was a little tiring!) What impressed us most about The Sandpiper was that we didn't feel "nickeled and dimed"...everything was included. They have a fridge filled with water and drinks, free bikes to use, snacks in the afternoon, checkout is flexible, and the breakfast is made-to-order perfection. We did take the bikes out for a spin to the gorgeous lake and found a fabulous Irish pub along the way. We can't wait to go back!

The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was beautiful, and the B & B was on the beach block. The restaurant downstairs, under separate ownership, was fabulous. Breakfast was included in our room rate, and we ate dinner there as well. The inn itself provided 4:30 snacks each day, and we generally felt very well taken care of. The Sandpiper Inn has now become our favorite place to stay in Spring Lake.

Excellent job, Sandpiper.

This was the best innkeeper of them all. I highly recommend the stay. The hotel offers EVERYTHING: pool, beach chairs, beach towels, cold bottled water, cold sodas, ample snacks.

Well Done.

The staff was friendly and eager to assist. The rooms where clean fairly well maintained. There was obvious care in the decoration and presentation in the rooms as well as the public areas of the hotel. Overall, A very nice place. I will be looking forward to my next stay!

Home sweet home

Chris and her husband the owners of the Sandpiper Inn are amazing. It is truely a magnificent place, quaint, charming and full of warmth and friendliness. The rooms are all very pretty, with quirky showers but that's what you expect in a mansion of the 1800's. Very comfortable beds, clean as can be. A wide verandah with lovely snacks to share and an excellent location for the beach. Bikes to borrow, a lift up to the station, snacks because you missed lunch and dinner because you were out- were beautifully presented as a surprise. They could not have made us any more comfortable than our own home. If you want stuck up- don't bother, if you want a beautiful, charming experience, then stay here. I would definitely return in the future. A delightful, charming, old world experience. We returned home at 3am each early morning- no problem, grab a free water and let yourself in!

Snadpiper Inn - Great location

We were at the jersey Shore for a weekend family wedding in ocean Grove and Asbury Park. Everyone stayed up there except us. We headed five miles down the beach to the Sandpiper Inn. Everyone else complained about their hotel and B &Bs as being too small, crowded and noisy. We were in a spacious room on a quiet street a block off the ocean. After the wedding we checked in just in time for afternoon coffee and a nice snack before the reception. Breakfast was good in their downstairs restaurant. The have bikes and pool we didn't use. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was not new or full of euro-trash design, but was homey and just what we needed.

Friendly Bed & Breakfast in Beautiful Spring Lake

The friendly personal welcome made this place a pleasure. Fruits and snacks are set out in a large living room. Rooms are large with 10' high ceilings. This is a place for quiet people. They have beach chairs and towels, bikes, computer to use, everything you need. The stay includes full breakfast at the incredibly good Sandpiper Restaurant on the ground floor. Spring Lake New Jersey is a quiet community of large Victorian estates, each of unique architectural merit.

Extremely Impressed - Wonderful Inn Keeper!

Chris, the Inn Keeper, was just amazing...from the first call to confirm the place and to get advice on parking! She loves what she does and you can see in the amazing 19 Century mansion. She also cares for her clients....water, soda, coffee is complimentary. Happy Hour snacks were tasty and plentiful. I wish I could have stayed there another week. No detail was left out...great beach chairs, towels, badges....I highly recommended this place and regret staying only for 2 nights! Well done Chris! You run a great inn!

Relaxing Trip

This is the perfect place to get away from it all. We really enjoyed our stay. It is close the beach; they give you passes, chairs, and towels. They have bikes to borrow; we enjoyed a nice bike ride down to Ocean Grove. Breakfast is served and it's decent with several options. They always have soda, water and fruit for guests. The deck area is great, and we often sat out at night with some drinks. The 4:30 snack time has great veggies and yummy cookies!! The indoor pool was good when the weather was not great.

The Sandpiper Inn Spring Lake, NJ

Beautiful 1800 home with a wide covered porch for reading and relaxing. The Inn is across the street from the South Beach Pavilion and the ocean. Each room is decorated differently and well appointed. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast each day was made to order offering a wide choice of healthy options. Each afternoon at 4:30, a nice display of snacks were presented in the main parlor. Wine glasses with openers were available on each floor. Beach chairs & towels, beach tags and bikes were available. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sandpiper Inn and exploring the amazing town of Spring Lake by bike. We can't wait to go again.

wonderful place!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Sandpiper inn. The rooms were beautifull and very big for an inn. The breakfast was great every morning and you had a choice from several selections. The Inn supplied bikes, sand chairs and beach blankets at no charge! They evern had an indoor pool. One of the best features was the large wrap around porch. All day long in the "livingroom" coffee, tea, fruit, nuts soda, water and juice was available free of charge, but also at 4:30 everyday the Inn hosted afternoon tea. They then served cheese, crackers, notchos, salsa, vegetables and dip, cookies or bread and even a hot appetizer some afternoons. Many of the guests can down at that time and socilized on the porch. I almost forgot to mention. It is 100 yards from the beach!!. The inn also supplied passes to the beach which you need in N.J. Wonderful time. Will be back!!

Excellent for a short getaway

Very nice place to stay. I'm not a huge fan of B&B's but this was great for a short stay. Close to the beach, included badges, private bathrooms in each room, restaurant style breakfast seating. Staff was very friendly. Dining and bar options are very limited in Spring Lake but there is alot nearby in places like Point Pleasant and Belmar. Spring Lake is definitely one of the more scenic, upscale areas in this region of the Jersey Shore.

Excellent choice

Having never been to Spring Lake, I essentially picked a B & B from the list on hotels.com. Turns out I made a great choice. The Sandpiper Inn is beautiful old Mansion in the middle of a majestic town. Spring Lake almost reminded me of a Hollywood movie set. Beautiful town, great shops and restaurants (we walked up to St. Stephens Green, great meal and live Irish music. On a Sunday night!) and a few hundred feet from the beach.

Terrific B&B

My husband and I stayed here for one night and had a wonderful experience! The location couldn't be better and the guest services were very nice-fully stocked refrigerator with sodas, waters, and iced teas as well as snacks in the reception area. The owner was extremely pleasant and very informative. We will definitely return.
