Nice location decent place
It was clean but management wouldn’t let us check-in an hour early and there was no water in the water cooler. The unit is basic with really small bedrooms. The location is great but the property is dated and the boardwalk was damaged so it wasn’t safe to walk on. Overall decent place but not great.

Customer service rated zero
If you need any customer service avoid Isis, Pablo, or maria. These 3 fools take pleasure in wasting your time and DON'T help. Call regular customer service for help. Why? 1 I booked 11 months early and at 2 months, I needed to shift my days. Come a day later and stay a day later. Instead of canceling the first night and booking me for the 2nd night, they all wanted to charge me as if I was booking the entire reservation new and increase my reservation by almost 3 hundred. Battling through their incompetence for 2 days by email, I finally called customer service who canceled my 1st day and added an additional day and charged me the thirty dollar increased fee. 2. My husband tore a tendon Sunday and we arrived Tuesday with our 3 and 1 year old. I rented a wheel chair. We needed to rent a car to transport it and needed parking in the building. The closest lot was up a steep hill. I asked isis about renting a spot and she said no, they didn't have one. Instead of them calling in, I got the run around AGAIN by email. Thank God I had stayed in El Faro the past 2 years because I called the front desk myself and arranged for a spot at fifteen a day and the front desk woman was lovely to work with. 2. Due to the situation, we arrived a few hours early which would have been fine since we would have walked however we needed to check in early to receive the wheel chair. I asked for early check in. They were rude by email and not only unhelpful but telling me that "this isn't the only property they handle". All I asked for was to make a call to ask cleaning to do our apt 1st so we could check in. This aggravating email exchange took 3 hours. Finally they did it and we checked in 2 hours early. 4. Within 20 min of my 1 year old walking barefoot in the "newly cleaned apartment " his feet were filthy. I sent pictures. They said they'd send cleaning. They came Friday with no notice and left. They came Sunday and cleaned. For 5 days we had a dirty apt. 5. My reservation said 5 adults and we were 2 babies/ 2 adults. I tried to add 2 adult family to my reservation and isis and Maria made it miserable for 2 days saying no because the apt fit 5 and they were counting my 1 year old who was in a travel crib and not a bed. Also, the apt, according to the contract fits 6 anyway.Finally called customer service and they said my son was under 2 so didn't even count!! Wasted 2 days of my time AGAIN! El faro itself is wonderful and the staff is great. Vacasa is awful. Avoid!

Front desk staff were fantastic however the building and unit were more rundown then advertised. Construction to exterior walls, boardwalk created daily excessive noise. Hammers and chainsaws make relaxing poolside not so great. Lack of kitchen items IE: pots, decent knifes made cooking a challenge. Toilet was broken in one bedroom, entrance door lock and bedroom doors were broken, furniture is getting worn out. Looks like a rental with little to know love. Wifi worked great however the Zenzi beach bar next door was loud until 3am each night. (Good food) Building location is great for 5th ave shopping and restaurants.

Amazing Stay
Our family stayed a week and loved the location to the beach, 5th Ave, and all of Playa. Took advantage of Wal-Mart and stocked up on snacks, beer, and alcohol (very reasonable!). Also, the Circle-K right next door was very well stocked and had just what was needed. We will be back again, hopefully SOON!

Awesome location
Booking was super easy. Check in was really easy; staff were very friendly and explained everything. The on site maintenance staff and security are wonderful. The location is fantastic - one block from 5th avenue! Not too noisy from neighbouring bars. The unit itself is a great layout on the first floor - walk right out onto the patio and then to the pool and the beach beyond. Couldn't ask for a better location. The unit is lacking in a few amenties - there were only two pots to cook with, no serated knives, no serving bowls and the cook top did not appear to work - not that we could figure out anyways! These things may not make any difference to a lot of people, but we specifically rented because its a condo with kitchen facilities. We bought a couple of bowls and a knife and some food flippers and left them in the unit. The rest of the unit is a little tired with old cabinets in the kitchen and old furniture. Overall we loved the location, the common property of the complex and the unit was quite acceptable. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location. Comfortable and clean
We had a wonderful time with this property. The location is absolutely amazing. With ground level access to the pool and the beach my kids were able to access this all through our patio . This made everything convenient and nice. Check in was very easy and we headed straight to the pool and got great massages for cheep right on site. I loved this unit and we would definitely stay here again. There was plenty of space and walking distance to all the shops and restaurants! Thanks again!
