Tastefully newly renovated in keeping with its original period charm, and a trendy beachside location, this newly renovated gorgeous 3 bedroom cottage is set to impress for your next holiday or work trip. Step out your front door and experience Merewether’s stunning beaches, ocean baths, serene green parklands, secluded beaches, lush rainforests with trickling waterfalls and local boutiques, bars and restaurants.. and all within 5km of Newcastle’s buzzing CBD.

What a beautiful setting for a truly fabulous long weekend getaway or perhaps a longer stay!

This beautifully renovated property can accommodate 7 guests throughout 3 bedrooms. The Master bedroom and second bedroom both offer comfortable Queen size beds, both overlooking the front balcony through its period charm stained glass windows, and plenty of hanging/storage space for you to unpack during your stay! The third bedroom contains a triple bunk (double at the bottom and single at the top) and built-in wardrobe.

There is also an additional work station in the Master bedroom, complete with a large monitor, laptop stand, keyboard and comfortable office chair - so this cottage is ideal for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, a group holiday or a work trip!

The spacious lounge room with decorative feature fireplace contains a comfortable lounge, 'Sonos' sound bar and Samsung Smart 65 inch TV to stream from all of your favourite apps and watch live TV through apps such as NineNow, TenPlay etc.

The fully equipped and generously stocked kitchen - complete with brand new stainless steel convection stove and oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, Nutribullet and Nespresso coffee machine and milk frother - allowing you to cook at home if you want a quiet night in. The kitchen features a cute 2 seater breakfast bar – a great spot if you want to prepare your own meals or for a quick breakfast before you start your day!

A hub of trendy beachside living, Merewether has quickly become one of the (if not the) most sought-after suburbs in the entire Hunter region. Merewether’s varied landscapes boast everything from stunning beaches, ocean baths, serene green parklands and secluded beaches to lush rainforests with trickling waterfalls, and all within 5km of Newcastle’s buzzing CBD. Local boutiques, bars and restaurants can be found at The Junction and Glebe Road quarter, in Merewether’s north, & popular pubs such as the Iconic Beaches Hotel & Merewether Surf House overlooking Merewether Beach.

Ideal for active people with a local golf course, swimming, walking/bike riding with the coastal bathers way path running from Merewether Beach to Nobbys Beach & CBD with Glenrock Reserve for mountain biking.

Trains run regularly from Newcastle Interchange, connecting to the suburbs. Use either the Hunter Line or Newcastle and Central Coast Line.

The light rail system connects the CBD, running from Newcastle Interchange to Newcastle East. The 2.7km line has stops at locations such as Civic Theatre/City Hall and University of Newcastle City Campus, while the final stop on the line is just a few moments’ walk from the iconic Newcastle Beach and Ocean Baths.

Buses run regularly around the city centre and connect with the suburbs and key locations including University of Newcastle, McDonald Jones Stadium and John Hunter Hospital, as well as shopping centres and parks.

From Queens Wharf you can catch the ferry to Stockton and explore the beachside suburb.

Newcastle is a very walkable city, with a range of scenic walking tracks in the city centre and suburbs of Newcastle. Some of the more popular walks include Bathers Way, stretching along the coastline from Newcastle Harbour to Merewether Beach.

Newcastle is a great city to explore by bike, with a number of leisurely cycle routes to enjoy.

Rules for the fur babies

We know you want to bring your furry family members along with you and are delighted for you to do this. However, we do ask that they are cleaned up after as they would be at home. If your pet goes to the toilet please bag and place in the outside red bin. We provide cleaning products for messes but please do not use bath or kitchen towels for this purpose. If these rules are not adhered to, there will be an extra cleaning charge.

Rules for the Spa
Please ensure no drinks or food are consumed in the spa. Please ensure the spa is turned off and the cover is placed back on when not in use, and upon check-out.

Early Check in and Late Check Out

We understand how holidays, work trips and family or friend get togethers work and how travel can be tricky. We are happy to attempt to accommodate requests for early check ins and late check outs but, it is all about communication so please advise in your booking request if you would like us to consider this. If we have not discussed early arrival or the possibility of you checking out late we will proceed with business as usual
which includes our cleaners arriving bright and early.

No parties or events

We want you to enjoy your stay but we also respect our neighbours and wish to keep noise and music to a minimum.

Charming but a little faded

A little old/faded. Lounge very uncomfortable. Backyard garden beds overgrown with weeds Kitchen and bathroom very dated. Was very clean though .

Lovely Merewether

We really enjoyed our short get away in Merewether. The accommodation was perfect for our needs. There’s so much to see and do nearby. We enjoyed, golf, spectacular beach walks and yummy food. What a treat!
