« Visiting family nearby for Mother’s Day. Cute, cozy, clean little house with a big deck and view of the river from the master bedroom. Quiet neighborhood. Mindi responds quickly if you have questions or need anything. Really enjoyed our stay. »

« Parking right at the door was convenient when we arrived after dark. All the rooms had everything we needed. Everything was clean. Plenty of outlets for charging etc. Great view of the river from indoors. Sliding door opens to deck with steps down to the yard and right down to the water. Very quiet neighborhood. »

« This is a great place with a beautiful view! It has everything you need for cooking and serving! The place was very clean and neat. The young people loved the pool. The only problem we had was several hornets nests, which caused three little kids to get stung. We bought spray and sprayed the nests. »

« We had a group of eight adults staying at this property. We very much enjoyed the amount of space and beautiful outdoor surroundings. Mornings in the screened in porch were a great way to start the day. It is definitely rural and you pass through many corn fields to reach the property. The acoustics of the house are a bit noisy in that you can hear what is happening in the main part of the house from the bedrooms above and below. Although we didn't have any young children in our group,...

« We enjoyed this lovely home with a lot of charm! The pioneer owner’s story on the wall was fun to read, too. The location was great and was easy to walk to shops and the one restaurant that was open this time of year. The beds were firm but comfortable and I slept great! The one bathroom was a little tough but we knew that ahead of time so it was ok! It was a nice touch to have body wash, shampoo, dish soap, paper towels, food seasonings, etc supplied. « This property is amazing. Rural and quiet. There were six of us and we stayed very comfortably. The beds were comfortable. The blackout curtains were much appreciated! Fans were also in the house to help with airflow. One bathroom could be challenging if you had a lot of people staying at the house, but it was just fine for us. Fireflies are EVERYWHERE at dusk! « We chose to celebrate Christmas at The Red House and it was a perfect place to do that! Very homey! »

« We had a wonderful anniversary trip to Nauvoo. The historic and quaint Mix House added some period charm to our stay. While the house retains much of its 19th century charm, it has the modern conveniences needed for a relaxing stay. It may have been the off season, but food and meal choices were limited in Nauvoo itself. We were grateful for the items we ordered from The Apron Bake Shoppe. »

« Can’t say enough good things about our stay in Nauvoo The farmhouse was everything it was advertised to be. It was clean well stocked and well furnished. It was close to everything we wanted to see. If we come back, we will definitely stay there and refer our friends to the same place. »

« I loved it! We were greeted by the host and their dog (who’s friendly as ever!) upon arrival and everything went perfectly smooth from there. The blankets were honestly the best part, LOL! We were all obsessed! Perfect little spot to stay right off the highway in a quiet neighborhood. Will definitely consider it again in the future if I need somewhere to stay near here again! »
