« We had a lovely stay at Lockton Cottage, it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The welcome goodies were a great touch, and we really appreciated the tea, milk etc..after our long journey. We would definitely stay again. »

« Stunning cottage in a lovely village setting and just a stones throw from the local pub and deli (lovely breakfast)The property was well equipped and tastefully decorated throughout with 10/10 for cleanliness, the host had thought of everything We didn't get to use the hot tub (maybe next time) »

« A wonderful apartment in a peaceful and beautiful setting. York is just around the corner and we found this a great base for our trips around Yorkshire. Everything you need is available and the landlords were very friendly and communicative. We can only recommend it and will definitely be back! »

« Lovely apartment but needed a thorough clean. Walking bearfooted floors felt gritty and a little sticky. Wooden cabinets in kitchen and living area full of greasy fingerprints. Duvet had about a two inch bloody looking stain on it, brought it to their attention, it was returned later in the day in same condition. Sorry to complain but it really spoilt what was otherwise a lovely stay. Nice staff. »

« This cottage is represented well by the photographs on the website. It had everything we needed for our stay. We are two adults and two children (15, 12) and there was adequate room for us all. There were no issues with parking directly outside the property, we managed to get a space everytime. Helmsley is a lovely place, everyone was very friendly. This cottage was an excellent base for exploring the nearby area. »

« Our weekend in this cottage was comfortable and cosy. There was plenty of space for the two of us and it would be excellent for families as there are two lounge areas, one very spacious on the top floor. We appreciated the efficient log burner and were provided with all the equipment we needed. The views were lovely with one side looking over a field with horses, alpacas and pheasants. Contact with the owner was excellent. A lovely place to stay. »

« Very cute and quaint cottage with lots of greenery all around. Very comfortable accommodations, and the freshly baked loaf of bread was such a thoughtful touch. We wish we could have stayed longer! »
