« We had a very nice overnight stay at the Crown. Staff were kind & welcoming on arrival, the room was clean and comfortable and well appointed, we had dinner in the restaurant which was really nice, drinks were a big pricey but I guess that's hotel pricing. Breakfast was really good, freshly prepared and very tasty. All in all really good, the only minor negative was the dated bathroom in our room, however the shower was really good, powerful and plenty of hot water so, does that really matter? »

Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine. Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church. »
