« We stopped here for 4 nights. The bedrooms were clean and fairly comfortable. There isn't much near by. 1 shop and 1 cafe in walking distance. But plenty of places within driving distance. Ravenglass and muncaster castle about a 15 minuute ride. Haverthwaite and lakeside are about 50 minutes away and very nice places to visit. The car park at the back of the property is good. « A truly wonderful home away from home in a beautiful location. Lois was tremendously accomodating throughout the entire process. We had the main house and adjoining cottages for a group of 18. The house is well sized for a large group, the bedrooms are all decent sizes, multiple bathrooms and maintained to a good starndard.
