« The area around the cottage was exquisitely beautiful, with walks from the door for all levels of hiking. We did not use the car once during our stay. A note in the information booklet said the cottage is undergoing a refurbishment in winter 2025, so hopefully some of the facilities will be modernised. A set of decent knives would have been good. « Really well equipped, well located and comfy accommodation. Railway station within easy walk for regular services to Carlisle or south to Barrow. Locally is an excellent cafe within the harbour complex. Excellent local walks along the coast.Look forward to returning soon. »

« We had an enjoyable week long stay at Fell View. The best part was the stunning views from the cottage of the fells. There were all amenities in the cottage and a lovely welcome basket from the owners. The cottage is located on a working farm but the owners were friendly and welcoming. The location of the property is easy to find, within 15 minute driving distance to Keswick or even walks from the doorstep. There is plenty of information provided about the local area and activities you can do....

The only slight downside is the bathroom which could really do with updating. The reason I gave a 4 for cleanliness was due to the shower curtain as it needs replacing.
