« Four of us (two adults and two grown kids) stayed for five nights over the holiday weekend. The location of this property right on the Duck/Southern Shores boundary was just great. Sunset views of the bay were great and the ocean was a short walk or drive away. The property was very clean. We are used to renting homes that are a little more lived in, so the lack of games and puzzles (and basic cooking necessities like salt and pepper) threw us a bit. « Check in and out was easy. The host was responsive and communicative. The location was very convenient for groceries and a very short drive to the beach or Wright Brothers memorial. Our kids were too small to walk or ride the bikes, but it is close enough for that. »

« We were so lucky to find Sound Serenity when our previously scheduled home was canceled a week & a half before our trip. Even though we weren’t right on the beach, the home was an easy 12 minute walk to the beach for sunrise and 5 minute walk to the sound for sunset. The home was beautifully decorated and very clean. « Beautifully furnished immaculate home with easy beach access. Centrally located near stores and restaurants. Loved the decks and deck furniture - fun evening on the deck feeling like we were “ in the trees.” A lot of love went into this place. Lots of nice “extras”: a keurig with coffee pods, tea bags and tea kettle, books and games , beach towels to name a few. Although there is no beach view, you still feel like you are on the beach. Highly recommended! »
