« The room was huge with more than enough space for a seating area as well as a dressing table/coffee station. Tea/coffee provided and hairdryer in room. Bathroom was adequate but dated and some of the seating in the bedroom area was ripped and one of the bedside lights didn’t work. « Had a one night stay with children.Rooms were spacious we had 2 family rooms Linnen was clean and fresh.Bathroom was clean all beit a bit dated. The staff make this place great everyone was very helpful nothing was too much trouble.We had dinner and breakfast and we were all coeliac they had options for choice The price was very budget friendly. « Good check in, good staff, lots of parking. Room was large and very nicely decorated, if a little warm (there was a fan but it was very very dirty and I had to dismantle it and clean it to get it to work properly). Room was let down by the bathroom - there was visibly peeling and missing paint around the top of the shower, and splash marks/spilled...something all up the walls behind the door and by the toilet. The seat on the toilet was also a soft padded one, which was a little odd....

« This is not a 4star hotel as described, it’s just a tired old pub that has some accommodation. The ‘deluxe’room that we had booked had stained carpets,sofa and cushions and was very basic. The two small bath towels and one hand towel provided were frayed. The menu is very basic in the pub. I had a pizza that was inedible as it tasted mouldy and looked horrible. Je n'ai pas eu de réponse. quand j'ai enfin pu joindre l'hébergement le soir de l'arrivée, on m'a indiqué qu'il n'y aurait plus personnes pour nous accueillir, et nous avons payé pour rien. »

« A really great traditional inn, great food, brilliant atmosphere and the staff couldn't be more helpful. The bonus of a private car park in Bakewell is a pearl beyond price, as parking, especially on market days is at a premium. I would have given the max stars had the room, which was OK had not been a little small ( it was named BAKEWELL). There you go. »
