« We had a wonderful stay at the Pilsley Inn. The breakfast was excellent, with high-quality food and a great variety to start the day. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful, and the setting is both charming and ideally located for visiting Chatsworth House. « There was only one member of staff there over our 2 day stay & she was really nice and helpful (she seemed to be covering reception, housekeeping & kitchen). Got to say all the public areas could do with a good hoover and the skylight in our room was covered in green algae. Our room was clean (apart from the skylights) but small. Breakfast was really poor for the price we paid. Hotel in general needs a good update as has loads of potential. »

« Room was clean, a good size and well appointed. There is no airconditioning though and when we stayed it was quite warm and uncomfortable to sleep. A fan is provided however it is loud. It was disappointing be informed at check-in and not at any point earlier that the gym is £20 more. Lots of parking and the staff are nice too. »
