« Just a lovely setting inside and outside. The house and grounds are so well maintained. As you approach the house, the landscaping is beautiful and the main floor of the house is furnished with antiques that are period perfect. Clean, although you must accept cats walking the common area furniture and friendly dogs at your feet…which is stated clearly in the overview, so not a surprise. 100+ year old house with character, but bedroom and shower is updated. « If you're looking for a place to stay that's walkable to the the restaurants and shops it is a wonderful location. David, the owner/host provided a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The breakfast that was served was hearty, including breakfast casserole, fruit and juice/coffee.The menu changes each day, but it definitely will fill you up and was delicious and made with care. « I would rate our stay a 2 out of 5. Let me explain why.We stayed in the Cambridge Room at the Belvedere, and there was actually a lot that we liked about it. The room was interesting, clean, and had a lot of character. It also had a charming little dormer-window sitting area that we absolutely loved. « The Belvedere Estate was a beautiful building and the grounds were very nicely kept but I would not recommend the Abbey Room. The mattress was very uncomfortable and felt like you were sleeping on springs, definitely not a refreshing weekend of sleep.
