The Space:
***Please be aware that Moonlight Basin has begun a full-scale remodel of the pool and hot tub area at the Lake Lodge. These facilities will be unavailable for the foreseeable future. Additionally, the construction activity may result in noticeable noise during the day.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as Moonlight Basin works to enhance its amenities.***

This property represents an incredibly unique opportunity to gain access to one of the most exclusive and sought-after private mountain clubs in America. Guest memberships provide full access to the extensive private Moonlight Basin Club amenities. Any rental guest over the age of 12 will be required to purchase a Moonlight Basin guest membership for $175 a day, per person, when staying in this unit. This membership price is not included in the nightly rate, however the nightly rate has been adjusted to offset these fees. From approximately September 26th to November 22nd and April 18th to June 1st, there will be no required membership fees due to highly limited amenities available during these periods.

Situated near the Jay Hawk Ski Lift, you can be whisked away straight to the Madison Base to kickstart your adventure on the slopes. After an exciting day, enjoy the convenience of ski valet service and access to a private locker for your equipment—no need to worry about storing your skis inside the lodge.
This elegant studio comfortably sleeps two on premium bedding and linens, offering a cozy and intimate escape. The fully stocked kitchen boasts high-end appliances, a variety of cookware including a crockpot and blender, and even a starter spice kit—perfect for preparing meals after a day of adventure. Drift off to sleep with breathtaking views of Lone Peak or enjoy the warmth of the gas fireplace. For longer stays, the condo also features a laundry room and a designated covered parking spot. This luxury home has premium appliances and is one of the very few units in Big Sky that has AC for our warming summer months.

Lake Lodge is a gateway to incredible outdoor activities. Explore Yellowstone National Park, hike, fly fish, white-water raft, or enjoy nearby Ulery’s Lake Camp, offering paddleboards, canoes, kayaks, and a water trampoline. Moonlight Outfitters provide mountain biking, archery, a high ropes challenge course, sporting clays, and guided tours of Yellowstone. The Lake Lodge pool offers lap lanes, a free swim area, a waterslide, and multiple hot tubs for relaxation after your adventures.

In winter, the lodge’s ski-in, ski-out access makes it ideal for all levels, including beginners. The Jay Hawk lift takes you directly to Madison Base, where you can schedule lessons, explore dining options, and even rent equipment. This luxurious retreat is perfect for creating lasting memories with family or friends.

The Moonlight Lodging team is dedicated to providing exceptional service. The 24-hour onsite team is available for assistance, and your property manager will ensure a smooth check-in with a personal orientation and help with luggage or questions. Enjoy daily garbage collection and grocery stocking upon request. 

Note: Golf access is limited during the summer. To utilize club amenities, the Moonlight Amenity Access fee applies for the entire stay. Guests aged 13 and older must be counted as adults when booking.

Getting Around:
We highly recommend that our guests rent a 4x4 vehicle during the winter months (October-May). Please be aware that shuttle services must be booked in advance, and rideshare options like Uber or Lyft are unavailable in the area.

Overall a great stay. The amenities are great - although very pricey esp during ski season when you are just skiing. All the snow bikes, gym, weight room , etc are not really stuff a skier generally uses. But you have access to the main lodge - so definitely rent a car for max convenience. My only gripe was that they noted this was a ski in ski out with the slope " steps away". It's not exactly like that. You have to walk about 3 blocks ( guesstimate) . And I'm not sure how you ski back because rather than schlep our stuff down there - we drove to the main lodge - valet parked and skied from there. I booked a place that I thought was true ski in, ski out because I had surgery that makes it hard to carry skis. So I think just clearing up that detail will make a huge difference. And thank god we had chosen to rent a car ( vs shuttle). Good food at main lodge. And the room was great - plenty big to enjoy your stay . Overall I give this a big thumbs up - I would just clarify exactly how close the slope is where you can click on your skis. A new listing so a few bumps but I think Ean easy fix

This was our first time in Big Sky, and I am so happy we chose this property. At first we weren’t sure why the amenity fees were 700/person but as soon as we arrived and realized all the things this property had to offer, including the restaurant, bar and access to the moonlight lodge which is members only, we were ALL IN! We would definitely stay here again!!!!
