Great view, hotel is clean but needs to be modernised. A/C doesn’t work much and is noisy. Food at the restaurant is not very good. Otherwise, personnel very polite and caring.

Hôtel très très décevant . Fuyez ! Les draps des lits ne sont pas changés d’un client à l’autre. Les salles de bain sont sales. Les poubelles autour de la piscine débordent et le parterre de la piscine est jonché de détritus. La nourriture est bonne mais la propreté du restaurant laisse à désirer. La gestion des attributions des chambres est aléatoire nous avons attendu 2h pour avoir nos chambres. Je vous déconseille vivement de prendre cet hôtel si vous ne voulez pas gâcher votre sejour

Hôtel à éviter, fuyez!!!
Hôtel dans son jus et très cher (attention lors de la réservation à bien sélectionner le tarif non Egyptien ou non résident sinon le prix double...). Vue de la chambre magnifique, seul point positif de notre séjour dans cet hôtel. Salle de bain sale (crasse incrustée dans le carrelage et la baignoire), n'ayant pas de draps à la taille du matelas, à partir du genoux nous dormions directement sur ce dernier...!!!! Insectes morts dans les viennoiseries au petit déjeuner, où nous avons mangé sur la table encore sale de la veille, le balais aussi était en option! Le wifi est uniquement dans le lobby et fonctionne aléatoirement. Prix des excursions ahurissante (pour Abou Simbel 96$ par personne proposé par l'hôtel, prix normal trouvé hors hôtel à 25$ par personne!). Pire et plus cher hôtel de notre séjour de 2 semaines en Egypte (plus cher que le Sofitel Winter Palace de Louxor) Tout ceci est inadmissible pour un hôtel de ce standing!!

L'hotel charge 30USD de plus lorsqu'on arrive a l'hotel car nous ne sommes pas egyptiens, le restaurant a pris 1hrs me servire un club sandwich froid, j'ai demandé a 2 differents serveur pour de la mayonaise personne m'en a apporté apres 10 min d'attente je suis donc rentré dans la cuisine aller m'en chercher il n'y avais que moi et ma conjointe comme client mais les serveurs étaient trop occuppé a jaser et regarder mon repas refroidir plutot que de nous servir. Sinon l'hotel est beau confortable et a une belle grande piscine.

The property was very average. The rooms were fine and it had a pool. There was one restaurant that served decent food. Unfortunately several evenings they had only a poor but expensive buffet available. So there were no other options for food within walking distance.

Very nice location and the best Egypt class hotel of the trip. Fantastic breakfast buffet, rivals the resort class hotels. Rooms are very comfortable and quiet due to the height of the hotel. Has elevators, which is rare in Egyptian class hotels.

Accommodating but less in professionalism
The location and view is great. Staff can be trained to the next level of professionalism compared to the other hotels I have stayed. At the checkout, the guy was so busy so even say thank you. Just handed me a print out and start talking to someone else. When I asked for an envelop , he just gave me one. There were other incidents as well… Rooms are a little out dated. Food was good but the cutleries, plates and the buffet area doesn’t meet the high standards.

Staff were kind and helpful. They helped with daytrips and ride to the airport. There was construction at the hotel and down the street but it was still quiet and clean. Pool side was great to rest after expeditions to archaeological sites. The Nubia Museum was conveniently across the street. Restaurant had pretty decent food.

Contacted the hotel and they said construction was finished and when we arrived it was evidently not finished. Finger prints on drinking glasses, no coffee mugs, kettle was dirty, stained sink, toilet and bathtub, no hot water. Food was not fresh, buffet was still plastic wrapped, staff was touching everything with bare hands when organizing the breads and deserts. Internet was very spotty. Cannot make international phone calls from the hotel phone.

Uncomfortable Stay!! 1 Star Hotel at best
This is not a 4 star hotel!! We were looking forward to getting a good night sleep after a long day trip and to our demise, the bed was hard as a rock!! Not to mention we had boulders as pillows. The hotel does not have queen beds so they put two single beds together just to have an awkward canyon in between my wife and I. There was not hot water for a shower and the power went out around midnight when we noticed the AC was off. I can’t emphasize enough to stay away from this hotel and go elsewhere for a comfortable stay.

In cima alla collina di fronte al museo nubiano, struttura di medio livello con vista molto suggestiva. Alcune zone interne sono in ristrutturazione ma nel complesso l’hotel è accogliente. Le camere sono vecchiotte ma pulite e dotate dei servizi essenziali. Degna di nota è la vista sul Nilo delle camere denominate “vista fiume”. Ristorante molto mediocre. Piscina un po’ torbida ma piacevole. Personale lento ma sempre cortese. Ricca Colazione a buffet inclusa.

This was a great stay at Basma Hotel Aswan. Check in was smooth, and contrast to other reviews our booking through expedia was recieved fine, with all requested extras fufilled. Lobby is manned 24/7 so our 3am check out was easy. The room was fine, for what you pay for we had no complaints. We got toiletries everyday the room was re-freshed/ cleaned well every day. We got a welcome drink and plate of food. Tea and coffee packets in the room and bottled water everyday. The wifi was good in rooms and shared areas. Pool was good, towels provided and beds comfortable. This area could of been cleaner, with the toilets here needing attention. This hotel has a great view of Aswan and the Nile. Its on a hill near the Cataract hotel. A good climb/ walk everyday into the town, about 30 mins to be central. The breakfast was good, buffet, could of done with more variety but we didnt go hungry. Staff are attentive and friendly. For the price point i would reccomend for a cheap and cheerful stay.

This hotel is just fantastic. Makes you feel like youre at a five star resort without the cost. The pool is the best part and the evening pool manager treated us so well and even gave me a cake for my birthday. Cool view of aswan and the lobby is very artsy and unique. Good food too!

Not Worth The Price
I recently stayed at this hotel and was extremely disappointed by the check-in experience. The check-in time was clearly stated as 2pm, and I arrived at the hotel at 3pm, expecting a smooth process. However, my expectations were far from met. After completing all the necessary paperwork, I was asked to wait in the lobby for my room assignment. 30 long minutes passed, and I decided to approach a receptionist for an update. To my surprise, the receptionist responded with a curt "Sorry" and walked away without offering any further information. I had been initially attended to in English, so language wasn't a barrier here. Frustrated by the lack of communication, I approached another receptionist and inquired about the delay. She informed me that I would need to wait for another 20 minutes as the housekeeping staff were occupied. This was a considerable inconvenience, as I had to cancel a scheduled ticket collection appointment due to the delay. To make matters worse, when I finally checked into my room around 4pm, I discovered that I had been given two separate single beds instead of the queen bed I had requested. The beds could have been placed together. The only bright spot in my stay here was a receptionist helped to arrange a taxi for me during check-out. In conclusion, this accommodation does not worth the high price paid given the extreme delay in check-in, room assignment mishap, terrible customer service and average room condition.

It is a very beautiful hotel in a great setting. The room was nice, spacious, clean. Staff who did the rooms failed to bring towels and a bath mat on a regular basis. Breakfast (included in the room rate), was good and we enjoyed the outdoors seating, with views of the river and their gorgeous swimming pool. I wouldn't recommend dining there. Meals were not very tasty, and didn't meet the menu's description. Having said that I didn't find any restaurants in Aswan that I would recommend. At check-out, they tried to charge US$89, which we did not owe!

部屋や設備はキレイですが、クレームを英語でいえる人じゃないと宿泊に困るかも
設備は基本的にキレイです。冷蔵庫もあります。 泊まった部屋のバスタブは、若干錆びは浮いていましたが、ちゃんと清掃はされていました。 問題はシャワー設備で、水圧が異常に低く、シャワーではなく、お湯が垂れている、という状態です。 そして、サービスですが、こちらも微妙です。 2泊しましたが、初日は、バスタオル2枚しかなく、バスマットやフェイスタオルがありませんでした。 着いたのが夜遅かったので、面倒くさくて連絡しませんでしたが、翌日、アブシンベル神殿のツアーから戻ってくると、一枚もタオルがない状態になっていました。 さすがに困るので、フロントに連絡、すぐ持っていくというので待っていましたが、1時間経っても来ず。 さらに、Csutomer Relationとかいう部門に電話し、持ってきてもらうことにしましたが、30分経っても来ず。 面倒くさいので、そのまま食事に出てしまい、1時間後くらいに戻ってきたら、部屋に装備されていました。 プールとかあってゴージャスな感じに見えますが、ホテルとしての基本がいま一つなので、他人にオススメできるかというと微妙です。 ただ、この地域のホテルは、どこもあまりサービスや設備がよくないと、ガイドさんから聞いたので、この価格帯では標準なのかもしれません。

The staff were very helpful and attentive during our stay. The buffet breakfast was good with lots of options. The beds were comfortable and our room was clean. The pool was nice to cool down in.
