I have had not one but several complaints and the way the front desk and managers welcomed them were extremely impolite.
I called front desk 5-6 times between 2-4.30am when we heard a fight next room. First time I called was at 2am when the fight was going on. Noone picked it up. Eventually someone came to check around 3am and they didn’t do anything to the client who was shouting and beating his wife/gf. The frontdesk left at 3.20am but the guy continued to shout at his gf until 4.30am when we decided to call the local police. There were other people and families who came to check what is going on, cause everyone was horrified. The way this was handled was so unprofessional.
IN ADDITION; when we arrived, we realized that they moved most of my running team members to another hotel, which is next to the La Grande. Though my team bought it ALL INCLUSIVE, they were not given that option at that hotel. When; my crew of three arrived there at 7pm and two of us were able to stay in the hotel but they moved one of my team members to other hotel, which caused extreme inconvenience. When we wanted to talk to managers to have this fixed; the answers were
- managers are not here
- I am the manager
- sorry, you need to talk to your booking agent
- they moved you to other hotel, we don’t know anything else...
They kept blaming other holiday agents etc.. this is not acceptable, since we came as a team of 25-30 people to run the marathon and we will never use this hotel for our trips.
