« This is a splendid Ryokan, authentic (all-wood structure), clean, spacious. The best I had in 3 weeks travel around the Kansai-Tokyo area. Very helpful staff when present in the Ryokan. « My favorite hotel during my trip in Japan ! I had a quiet and clean room (share with 3 other people). Even if the bed is not the best bed, for thep rice is really great. The infrastructures are great , even a bath is available (great after a long day of walking). All beauty products for free, a little kitchen and even a breakfast for free (it was not included during my reservation). Definitely the place I will go back. And only 10 min from Kyoto Station. You will have the best price/quality...

« Very good hotel located just between Gion and Kiyomizu. Traditional japanese house with tatami’s room will get you completely immersed in japanese culture. « This is an absolutely great hostel - brand new, very clean, spacious ground floor (this is the common area) but maybe not enough seating when the hostel is fully booked (add a couch?). One can feel that everything is brand new, my room (8 people dorm) had a top light and bottom lights (next to the beds) for the night, which I thought was great. The bed is very comfortable and you can choose between three or four types of pillows (sic!)! My bed had a total of 3 power outlets + 1 USB port + my own...
