« Hotel was great, and very cheap for the space. It’s not luxurious but very comfortable. Good beds. Mini apartment really with little kitchenette. Staff attentive and had good English. Great location for monkey park (steep climb, be warned). Arashiyama is beautiful. Bamboo forest is pretty close at about 10-15 minutes walk away. Convenience store 300m away, right next to Hankyo railway (Arashiyama station) into Kyoto centre. I recommend Mizuki (very Kyoto-authentic restaurant); it’s a gem. »

« Lovely clean, comfortable place & well run by a friendly professional team. Slightly out of town but with a very regular bus timetable to all parts of the city & a nearby Lawsons store with an ATM & all essentials - perfect! »
