Es fahren regelmäßig Shuttle-Busse zum Stand und zwischen den Hotels, diese waren auch in der Regel pünktlich. Man kann auch laufen, es ist nur ein guter Kilometer zum Meer. Mir war es aber zu heiss, ich habe den Bus genommen. Die Entfernung zum Meer ist natürlich ein Nachteil im Vergleich zu den anderen Hotels. Dafür gibt es Uptown mehrere Restaurants zur Auswahl. Im Fying Carpet Restaurant zum Beispiel wurden mir jeden Abend super leckere vegane Speisen und Smoothies zubereitet, tolle, frische Salate usw., zu überaus fairen Preisen. Ich habe so ca. 6 - 7 Euro pro Tag für Dinner ausgegeben. Das ist inklusive Getränke wie frischen Säften und Bier. Mein Zimmer war tip-top und sehr ruhig. WiFi gibt es leider nur an der Rezeption im Wekala. Da bin ich lieber nach dem Baden in die Bar-Lounge im Strand Hotel um meine Mails zu checken. Da sitzt man gemütlicher und kann einen Cocktail schlürfen. Alles in allem kann ich das El Wekala in Uptown Taba Heights nur Empfehlen.

a lovely hotel,stunning mountain veiws

Les + : i like that it was comfortable and really nice
Les - : cleaning of the rooms more often and the dinner buffet could be more varied.
the hotel was lovely the rooms were quite spacious but was not cleaned often the breakfast buffet was good but,dinner was a bit same same. the staff were quite friendly and very helpful. I would go again.

Harassment, suspect of taking away my cellphone du

Very bad experience. 1. I heard that there were two German women were stabbed in a resort in South Sinai When I arrived the resort. 2. The restaurant manager asked me to have a drink in the hotel room, that is absolutely harassment for a female guest, and very offensive, very impolite, I refused. He ordered a waiter to stop me taking water from the water machine but other guests can have food, soft drink, coffee and tea. I was scared too, very scared. 3. When I was talking to the receptionist for arranging a taxi or hotel Limousine to the border, my Cellphone disappear. Strand beach resort told me that my cellphone is with that receptionist. The receptionist refuses pay on line but insist an international money transfer by wires, China control the foreign currency export. This is the only way the hotel accept. it is the 22nd date, they still refuse to return my cellphone back. I am very upset.

Dear Wai Lan Please note that we did not take your phone, we have your phone, you have left it behind and asked us to send it by courier where you refused to pay the courier company or deposit the money in our account to pay for you. Also, regarding the other experience mentioned, we have a lot of correspondence from your side where you thanked us for having such a wonderful stay, Rest assured that your phone is safe with us until you pay the courier fees. My cellphone was took away

My cellphone was took away when I was calling a taxi/Limousine for an hour (From 4:30 - 5:30pm), they did not return to me after 22 days. My cellphone is with them now.

Dear Maam, Please note that your phone was not took away and you have left it at our resort, We have a lot of correspondence, from your side that, proves that you have left your phone and it is with us , where we have asked you to pay the courier company and you have refused to pay, that is why the hotel still has your phone in our safe. Thank you

The bathrooms need a lot of work

Les + : Pool, reception area, the dining area, beach, and shopping area adjacent to the hotel.
Les - : The bathroom, towels, etc.
Situation : Can take the ferry over to Jordan and from there visit Petra.
The towels provided looks and feels like they came from a car wash. The towels were also very obviously frayed. No tissues in the tissue box holder. The only complimentary toiletry is a shower cap. The bathroom just did not look or feel clean.

Nice hotel, great watersports, excellent value for money

Great hotel, phantastic value for money. The only suggestion is that they might indicate things like the reception or parking a little better - we got lost before arriving!
