« We were only at the property for one night, but clean and comfortable. They had a nice hot breakfast with scrambled eggs and bacon that was very good. This was our first time meeting in the pub area near the front desk, and there was a nice group of other parents who had children graduating from college. We enjoyed the company of the others, and the woman that served everyone had a great personality. It was an enjoyable experience. »

« This place is elegant, and you feel the class as soon as you step thru the doors. Its nice they kept the historic hotel in such good shape for its age, along with newer amenities (rooms,restaurants/bars, shops, and even a spa). The only down side i found while staying was the trains that go by. They are loud, but its part of the reason the hotel was built back in 1875. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. « I stayed at this hotel for my first trip to Mayo Clinic. The hotel has an hourly shuttle that is convenient. You can also catch the quarter-hour shuttle at St. Mary's (across the street) if you're mobile. The hotel is very casual. It's hard to figure out where to enter; I had parked and tried to get in a door that was only accessible to people with key cards; since the signage on that street indicated the hotel was *there*, that's where I tried to go in.
