The Tahitian Beach Motel Needs a Good Cleaning

Publié le 30 mai 2016
The Tahitian is an older motel that needs a good cleaning. Older motels are fine. As long as they are clean.

Condition of room

Publié le 18 mai 2016
Les + : Proximity to beach. The pools were good.
Les - : This room needed to be shut down and totally remodeled and cleaned before anyone else has to stay in it.
We stayed in room 109. Starting at the door...it didn't fit well and barely closed. It had no dead bolt lock. We had a 3 year old with us and she only had to touch the door knob and she was out of the room. The carpet was filthy. If you walked barefooted your feet were black. We had to wear socks and throw them away when we left because they would not have come clean. The kitchen cabinets were falling apart. The burners on the stove were coming apart. The toilet bowl under the rim in the front was caked with mold. The sink in bathroom was cracked. There was a roach looking bug carcass laying in kitchen floor when we checked in. There was candy and a hat between the wall and the bed in front of the window...no telling how long they had been there because they were covered with dust. There were no baseboards in the entire room...they had been taken off and not replaced. Will I stay at the Tahitian again...I think not! Did not realize I could have added photos...gosh I wish I had known!!!

Two day stay was excellent!

Publié le 3 mai 2016
Les + : The price was great
Situation : Very close to Johns pass and other restaurants.
We were with extended family. All together we had three rooms. I have a family of five with three kids under the age of 8 and they loved it. The close proximity to the beach and the pool was nice. We had a lower level suite that was just perfect for us! It was very pleased with the cleanliness of the facilities and the room. We will stay again

Ordnung.

Nice hotel, close to everything.

Les + : Location
Les - : Find a way to get rid of the musty smells.
Situation : Outdoor restaurants/bars. Beach in the backyard!!
Able to fit me in a day earlier without having to move. Staff super nice. Hotel was located in the middle of everywhere we needed to be. Was not able to give us first floor. I have sciatica pain so the stairs were a pain with no elevator. Parking was a royal pain with several times having to park across the street.

Decent hotel on the beach

Les + : Location
Les - : It could use a little face lift as far as remodeling/re-decorating.
Situation : Everything you would want to do is within walking distance.
I was pleased with my stay at the Tahitian. The hotel is older and is nothing fancy by any means however it is clean. The pool is nice. It is right on the beach. It was quiet for the most part. The staff was more then helpful. For the price you pay it is a nice place to stay. We will come back.

The Dive

Publié le 23 avr. 2016
Les + : The pool was nice!
Les - : Total renovation!
Situation : Johns Pass, but a hike to get there if walking!
This was my first time to Treasure Island so I didn't know what to expect! The motel is very old & run down. The rooms are very musty! I found a wall behind the bathroom door that had a lot of black mold on it. The shower was not good, and dead bugs on the ledge above the shower window! The carpet stinks! Needs to be replaced, if not replaced then at least cleaned & edged! The furniture is very old & not very clean! This motel is a dive & nothing like it's sister hotel The Thunderbird! Tahitian Resort should charge a lot less to stay here & I'm highly disappointed! Also, I was put in a corner room right by the busy street, and had cars parked inches from my room door, because they don't have enough parking spaces. Not fun trying to get out of my door, plus no outside sitting space like the other rooms have chairs & table to sit outside their door. Staff leaves at 10:00 pm, so a lot of noise from the guest staying here partying etc....Would not go back to this location because of how busy it was, and the walking distance to everything is pretty long! I went to Johns Pass, and that was the high light of the trip! I might think about staying at Madiera Beach if I ever went on a girls vacation though!
