Convenient for where I needed to be

Les - : Remodeling to current quality
Situation : Location i right outside the beltway. Great location to see all DC locations, lots of restaurants and things to do
The check in was prompt, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was small but everthing was orderly, clean and abundant in quanity. My only complaint was thtat it is an old property that definitely needs to be remodeled. It was a good, clean safe environment for what i needed.

Situation : Close to where we wanted to be.
For some reason we were assigned a handicapped room. The bathroom was uncomfortable in that the toilet was too high and the shower floor had no lip and the water from the shower flooded the bathroom floor making the use of the bathroom a mess.

Les + : Staff were polite. Shuttle was good. Breakfast was good.
Les - : Get the room you reserve!!!!
Situation : Shuttle to metro was helpful.
Booked a room with 2 beds, got a room with 1 King and a pullout couch. The clerk tried to find us a 2 bed room but none were available. Pull out was very uncomfortable! When someone books and pays for a room they should get what they reserve!

After paying for my reservation through hotels.com, the hotel charged my card a second time. When i called back to fix the mistake made by them the front desk clerk that answered the phone was rude and belligerent.The tv didn't work and when I called the front desk to ask them to fix it they claimed they would send up maintenence but no one ever came.

The elevator shaft ran behind the wall adding to noise level when the elevator was in use. Further, just across the hallway was the sod machine and ice maker. Another contributor to more noise. An area attracting folks to gather to chat. Further, the curtains do not function as on might expect curtains to function. They do not close to block the light from the stalag lights in the parking lot at night. Decoration and function at a crossroad. Such corner room should be taken out of service or further soundproofed. A lesson learned to question on future check in events
