Overnight on the way to Bucharest

The Ioana is a good hotel. Not a 5 star by Uk standards but a solid 4. Rooms are comfortable with fabulous linen. The bathrooms are large and stylish. The common areas are clean and comfy but there is no bar area, the 'lounge' is more like a large lobby. The 'spa' is a room with a hot tub and small sauna which two people can use at a time if you book. The food at the Forest restaurant is good but not five star standard. The sommelier however is very informative about Romanian wine and a great guy to chat to, so be sure to use him! The breakfast looks impressive but there is little substance if you're not used to Romanian breakfasts - which consist of a lot of cheese and pickles and cured meats. The hotel is a 20-30 minute walk from the centre of Sinaia or £1 in a taxi. It's good to be out of the town though as the place is heaving with coaches visiting Peles Castle. It's nice and quiet to be out of the way a little!

Nice hotel though not in Sinaia Center

This hotel is situated upon a hill some kilometers from Sinaia Center. The room was nice, with comfortable beds. However, a smell from the kitchen in the morning came in to the room and it was necessary to ventilate the room by opening the windows. The Internet was extremely fast. 88 Mbit/sec down and 44 up. The breakfast was really rich and varied but unfortunately with music at a high volume. To recommend? Yes and now. If you would like to stay at Sinaia Center, it’s better to look for another hotel there, above all if you don’t have a car.

“A warm and welcoming hotel”

All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and the view is fabulous. This is a very charming hotel and we would certainly stay there again. It was very plastant stay, we both enjoy it. Stay again , any time . Just great.

Lovely hotel near the most beautiful castle!

Very nice hotel, lovely food in the restaurant and the staff was great too especially the night time bartender and the lady from the reception, can't remember her name.

Отличный отель!! Останавливались на пути из Сигишоары в Бухарест. Уютные номера, прекрасные ванные комнаты, очень вкусный и необычный ресторан. В нем же подают завтрак, тоже на пятерку. Сервис отличный, когда мы приехали, лил проливной дождь, и к нам выбежал сотрудник отеля с зонтами. В общем, не к чему придраться. Рекомендую

True 5 Star Hotel

Everything about the place was 5 star! The breakfast in the morning was a nice surprise. So many options to choose from in a real nice setting in the forest restaurant. The beds were the most comfortable we've slept in.

A Hidden Treasure in the Forest!

It is a wonderful hotel tucked into the forest and only a ten minute walk from the Peles Castle. Beautiful forest and mountain views with a VERY frienldy and helpful staff. The hotel Has Forest the best eating establishment in the area!

Location, comfort, extremely helpful

We booked the hotel for it's location to Peles Palace, walking distance, down the hill about 10 mins. We wanted a quite location not in the centre, apart from the dogs barking it was great. The restaurant is unique and service and food pleasing with a vast menu, and a great wine list with great Romainian wines. We were talking with the manager and he said he could take us to their other location for lunch. So we were driven into the mountains to a beautiful meadow,drawled by the mountains all around and had a simple lunch. If they can get permission to renovate this restaurant chalet it will be amazing and it was such a bonus, I can't wait for winter to go back.

Komfortables Hotel in ruhiger Lage

Top Services, sehr schöne Zimmer, allerdings war im Bad Schimmel. Sehr reichhaltiges und leckeres Frühstücksbufett, das nicht nur in Rumänien seinesgleichen sucht!

Cosy, comfortable and chic!

Terrific boutique hotel with a terrific atmosphere (fireplaces in the suites, staff led by the most delightful manager who began as a chef and aims to please while maintsining impeccable standsrds! The forrest dining room exceeded expectations with a wide variety of offering. They even cook chick when my traveling companion resquested! The restaurant manager quickly corrected his staff on morning when we reported to him one on his waiters was clipping his nails around the food. Will teturn!

A complete gem of a hotel..

Everything about the place was spot on: the super friendly staff, the stylish yet homely décor, their 'Forest' restaurant (with an amazing menu) and the general ambience and location. There was even a children's play room with a child-minder, so we got to relax while our two small children happily hung out in the play room - what a bonus! The breakfast was varied and excellent, with a chef on hand to make you crepes and breakfast dishes of your choice. There were many details which contributed to us having a memorable stay there - ie when we arrived my partner and I were offered a glass of sparkly wine or juice, and the kids received a goody bag each. . We were so pleased we found and booked this hotel!

Rigtig flot!

I will be direct about my review. It was amazing! I did nt know what to expect from my visit but from the minute we arrived to minute we left, everything was wonderful. We were welcomed by extremely friendly staff who were at out service at any time of the day in response to any request we may have had. The location was lovely, only 10 minutes walk away from Peles Castle, 25 minutes walk to the city centre and lovely natural surroundings. The Forest restaurant was lovely with red squirels and wild rabbits scampering around keeping guests entertained. Food and drink was of extremely high quality and the price was well, mind blowing. Please visit Ioana hotel, you will not regret it.

Hotel ok, restaurant fabulous

Decent location 10 min walk from Peles castle. Parts of the hotel and rooms newer than others. Forest restaurant fabulous. Massage services average at best (charging you for 60 min when they end massage after 40-45 min).

Fantastic Service

I wanted to stay somewhere different than the "standard" business type hotels, comfy, warm with good food and polite staff. Could not real fault it. Will stay again

Comfortable rooms and helpful staff

Rooms were very comfortable but relatively expensive compared with other places in romania of similar standard. Not that easy to find if you arrive at night so worthwhile asking for directions.
