One night was too short!

Beautiful, peaceful location. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Had a wonderful room with sea view. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Didn’t have time to use the complimentary bikes or kayaks or go across the sound to walk on the Queen Charlotte Track. One night was definitely too short!

Very friendly and relaxed. Staff extremely helpful. Food delicious. Fun way to arrive, local water taxi, piked up by hotel cars and then speed boat to arrive.

Awesome stay at Raetihi, thoroughly enjoyed it. Great service, people and just enough to do but also to relax. Very helpful staff.

Chilled out Raetihi

Raetihi Lodge is a beautiful place to just chill out. Leanne and Alan have a great team who look after you from the second you arrive. They’ve done an excellent job renovating the place. The food at the lodge is also excellent! Definitely a great place to relax for a few days.

"All we had hoped for"

Stunning location and wonderful ambience. "Nothing is too much trouble" was the attitude from ALL the staff. We stayed in a garden room which was the least expensive of the rooms available and it was more than comfortable. Food was excellent and the dining room outlook is stunning. It is an expensive splurge -cost us $1000 for 2 nights accommodation and 2 breakfast/dinners and afternoon coffees etc, but it was our 40th wedding anniversary so a special occasion. We are saving to do it again!!

Rest and relaxation

Special place to stay. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. Owner very hands on and welcoming. Really relaxing away from it all feeling.

Amazing views of the water

I only stayed one night but the location was amazing. Views of the water. Quiet and relaxing. The room itself was ok. The bed was super comfortable and the rest of the room was ok although the shower was a bit small. Also, there were no screens on the windows or door to the little patio so I couldn't leave them open without risking a full on attack of dozens of flies, bugs and other winged creatures, which was a shame since the air was so nice.

Perfect summer retreat!

A beautiful and luxurious lodge nestled in the most peaceful part of the Kenepuru sounds. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the food at the onsite restaurant is stunning! Would definitely recommend the waterfront rooms and catching the short boat ride across as opposed to the long and windy road around.

Stunning location

Wonderful stay, a real treat. Our favourite place in NZ so far. Julie's massages should not be missed. Small niggle, beds weren't great in either room

We booked a standard hill view room It was very basic No glasses No hangers in wardrobe Only one chair No patio furniture All the toiletries were in refilled bottles and you could not read what they were as writing had been rubbed off

wow what a place - a superb hideaway!

Loved it. Pristine surroundings with a beautifully designed hotel well aid to its surroundings! Do not drive there, we had to drive on unpaved roads for hours. Take the boat across, leave your car in the boat parking. Or fly in by helicopter. Dinne the restaurant is top class! Go for the comfortable bush walks, well worth it!

A little piece of Heaven

Words fail to describe the place, it was so beautiful Stayed 2 nights and wished we had longer. The food was absolutely superb. Will stay longer next time, it is the perfect retreat to go to and relax and unwind.
