The biggest issue we had was communication for checking in. The owner messaged me early on the day of check in asking if I was planning to stay at the property and that I had to reply to not get myself cancelled. I would argue that my not cancelling of my stay via Vrbo was an indication that I was planning to stay.
At any rate, due to several factors I didn’t see her message until late in the day, after the check in time. I immediately messaged her asking for follow up, and after not getting a response I felt I had to open a case with Vrbo. It wasn’t until more than 1 hour after I messaged that she replied and helped my party get into the property. I had no code to get in until she messaged me late in the night. She asked us to instantly go back to the property, which was a little stressful. When we finally got to the property she gave us the wrong code and took a few minutes to give us the correct one.
This was a waste of time, in my view. She could’ve just sent the code that day without giving us a new deadline.
She was perfectly nice and communicative when she eventually did start communicating. So that was good.
Other than this, the property was perfectly fine. It was missing some small things: salt, cooking oil, microwave.
