Avoid at all costs!!
We booked this boat for a five day stay with friends and family in what was an excellent situation on the river and near to the main sights of Paris. That's the end of the good news. Day 1 - I had a shower but the water didn't drain from the shower tray. Decided to give the owner the benefit of the doubt to see if it would drain away slowly. Next morning . No change. This prevented anyone else having a shower for fear of the tray overflowing. I phoned the owner who said that a new pump had recently been fitted and that 'everything had been checked'. She sent someone round who 'fixed' the problem. Next morning we couldn't flush the toilet . We ended up sorting it ourselves by adjusting trip switch on electrics panel. Day 3 and 4 2 more toilet 'incidents' and another problem with the shower. By day 5 it had become farcical as we needed to flip the trip switch 15 times to keep toilet, shower, coffee making, lights, anything functioning before our departure. On phoning the owner was told , again, that everything had been checked and she couldn't understand what the problem was. On our final evening on returning from a very warm day out in Paris we all wanted a wash/shower to freshen up before going out for our last evening meal. No water anywhere! In shower, kitchen or bathroom. We consulted the manual which the owner had left for troubleshooting - utterly useless! My son and I eventually traced the problem to the pier and sorted it. Phone consultation with the owner was a complete waste of time. On a different matter we were leaving the boat on our first evening to notice a hose pipe whose fitting had become loose, pouring water all over the side of the boat. For fear of it getting into the boat I attempted to reconnect it soaking myself in the process. This was drawn to the owner's attention and the response was, yes, you've guessed it, 'that was checked last week'. Despite my efforts to reconnect it continued to spray onto the exit side of the boat which was a risk on attempting to leave. To compound the last night fiasco , referenced above, it disconnected again pouring water all over the deck. It is hard to overstate the embarrassment in trying to deal with these issues after inviting guests to join us on holiday. HomeAway and the owner should be ashamed of putting this holiday option on the market. It is unfit for purpose and an abysmally managed and monitored property. You have been warned.

Cozy houseboat with great views
The houseboat was an enjoyable experience that offers fabulous views of Paris. The views of the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame at all hours of the day are awesome. Having a small kitchen area is great when staying for 5 days or more in Paris. The owners provided a very detailed guide book that details things about the houseboat and where to eat and site see. Definitely a hidden gem in Paris if you want to experience the River and the views from a houseboat. The location is perfect, the middle of the city, about a mile to all of the attractions that everyone wants to see in Paris. The grocery stores are easy to access and close by. The bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of room to store clothes during your visit. The washer and dryer come in handy if staying for an extended period. Only downfalls are if you are 6 feet or taller the head room is tight, however, this information is provided ahead of time. The long hours of boats up and down the river causing wakes against the boat was more than expected. And the small bathroom and shower are difficult to maneuver.

Heaven on a boat
Our family of 5 stayed on the boat for six nights (kids ages 6-13). It was bright, clean, well stocked, and comfortable! Enchanting to see le Tour Eiffel shimmer out the window and to drink wine on the deck each evening. Easy access to metro stops, buses etc. Being in such a touristy central places we had to go a little further for groceries and such but there was an Express just across the worked! I was worried about sea sickness (the boat moves quite a lot and constantly. Is still only still between about midnight and 8 and I have a couple kids who tend to Get motion sick). Three of us took a dose of Less drowsy dramamine every 24 hours and had no problems! I did feel a little bit like o was on a boat as I loved through the city each day, but not enough to bother me. Christine and Cesar were helpful and responsive quickly throughout the preparations and trip. What a treat!!

Its Hard to beat the Location
The Boat is in the perfect spot for just walking to all the main sites or taking a Batobous. We were lucky and the boat was Quayside and had no boat along side so the views were unrestricted. It did however make it a bit choppy and there are a lot of boats passing all day but they do basically stop during the night. Sitting on deck having a meal or a few drinks surrounded by one of the best views in Paris makes it quite a unique experience. The trip was for my wife's 71st and I am getting rather long in the tooth also so it was a bit of a challenge for us with the steps and the rocking but luckily no disasters. Our Kids and their partners had no problems and the internal roof hieght was fine even though 3 of us are 6 foot plus. You do have to be pretty agile however so not recommended if you have too many difficulties in that department. It was probably on our limit thats for sure and you certainly have to watch how many wines you have before bed! Ideal however for a large young family or or three young to middle aged couples. Recommended.

Unique on water experience with Eiffel Tower views!!
We had a wonderful time on this houseboat! The setting and location is what it's all about. The central location gives quick access to the heart of Paris. Literally across the river from the Orsay museum. Steps from Plaza De Concorde and the Tuileries garden and the Louvre. Views of the Eiffel tower from the deck are amazing as well. Having dinner or a glass of wine outside while watching the boats float by or just staring at the Eiffel tower sparkle is all anyone could need. It is down off the main road and feels very private despite its busy and central location. The boat could be a little difficult for elderly or handicap persons but my dad is both and managed just fine. Each person should look at the pictures carefully to make their own determination. We had a great trip and would like to do it again with friends.
